The PS3 will not be cheaper than the next Xbox, if anything they will be matched in price. I can also see Sony not including multi-tap in the next machine too, because hey, they can charge another $40 bucks if you want to play a 4 player game on one system.

It's pretty easy to get an xbox live game patched. All you do is turn on the game and log in and it's automatically updated.
