Epic - app fairness.
Apple's anti-competitive behavior, Epic is free to make their own phone.

Again, though, this is the new TITAN. No one bought that, either, because the bump wasn't huge, and because it wasn't aimed at your general enthusiast.
I'd be shocked if more than one person here owned a TITAN, but if you walk into any dev studio, and plenty of graphics design firms, and you'd find quite a lot of them.
Exactly. In nVidia's own words (the constant repetition of "creators" is trying to tell us something, I think):Similar to TITAN RTX, GeForce RTX 3090 will appeal to the most demanding users. It’s great for creators making movies and rendering cinematics. It’s sure to appeal to researchers building systems for data science and AI. And, of course, it’s ideal for extreme gamers who want to experience the new world of 8K gaming.
The GeForce RTX 3090 enables creators who push their creations to the limits of graphics hardware with professional creation applications and with large models, detailed scenes, and high-resolution textures.
Rendering in these types of applications not only requires a more powerful GPU. It requires more GPU memory. Creators using the GeForce RTX 3090 will find that they can work with datasets that are more than twice as large as those that will fit into the memory of the GeForce RTX 3080.

The 3090 isn't really aimed at enthusiasts

Meanwhile, Apple continues to abuse it's monopoly position.Just hours after the reveal of Apple’s new services bundles, the tech giant has already taken criticism for evidently favoring its own apps over those with which it directly competes in its App Store.
Spotify, which has been feuding with the tech giant for years now over its hefty App Store fees, quickly seized on the opportunity to raise Apple antitrust concerns.
Yeah Apple is definitely not the good guys here. While Epic intentionally violated the rules it has known about since the beginning of iPhones and deserve to be taken down because of it, they are both guilty of BS business practices. F 'em both.

Gamers Nexus wasn't impressed.
Hardware Unboxed wasn't impressed.
Linus wasn't impressed.
Only Jayz"Nvidia"2Cents and Digital"Cherrypicking"Foundry were.
I feel like you're seeing what you want to see. You said Linus wasn't impressed for example but that wasn't his conclusion at all. I watched all of the reviews in question, as well as read several linked here and the general opinion was that it was at least a 25% average increase on the 2080ti and everyone seemed suitably impressed with the FE card, minor quibbles aside.

The 4k and 1440p performance is outstanding, finally a worthy upgrade to my 1080ti.

The vast majority of humans won't be able to tell the difference between 4k and 8k. Another in a long line of technical gimmicks.

It looks good, I guess... but do people even have 8k displays in large numbers? Welcome back to being a testing program/benchmark for 2022, Crysis.![]()

Sounds like it's still pretty rough. I was planning to old off until Nov. or Dec. anyway.

It really is mind-boggling. 10 years, who knows how many 10s of millions gone, and virtually nothing to show for it.nor will it take 10 to 20 years to deliver
Right. That's because it'll never actually materialize. Oh well, suckers and their money are soon parted, indeed.

It's 8.5 years right now.. I mean it's getting close.

You build on the inside of a Dyson Sphere. So this is just some factory management game and not constructing a Dyson Sphere. Bleh. Was excited for a second there.
