Cant recall where I read it, but they did some side by side testing on the 3080 and the 3090 on video rendering, and the 3090 blew the 3080 away in the reduced time it took to render. by a few hours from what I saw.
I was someone who was thinking very hard about getting a 3090. But after Beamers comments the other day, I started to look up the card. and after seeing that this card is more of a developers card. I opted to wait it out for a 3080 Ti.

So, to add insult to injury, they release the game exclusively on EGS. then on top of that they put in Denuvo. Yea, this POS game can rot. I've already gotten my time out of this game years ago. Don't need to go down that lane again.

It was a complete shit show this morning tiring to get a card. A friend of mine tried like hell, but ended up with pages cant be loaded and similar crap like that.
Plus we are seeing on eBay people selling the cards for 10K.
NVidia should have put an end to that kind of manipulation and scalping.
Glad I got a 2080 Super, I can wait this shit show out.

I feel like you're seeing what you want to see. You said Linus wasn't impressed for example but that wasn't his conclusion at all. I watched all of the reviews in question, as well as read several linked here and the general opinion was that it was at least a 25% average increase on the 2080ti and everyone seemed suitably impressed with the FE card, minor quibbles aside.
And this is just the base card, not the supers that may be coming or the OC Ultra Gamer FTW 3 versions and the Ti later. Imagine how much better those cards speeds will be.

Look at TechSpots reviews. They posted performances for just about every game. I like that they did Horizon Zero Dawn. Their review seems spot on. I'm getting 45 FPS at 4K, and they have theirs at 44 FPS. and 71 FPS for the 3080. Thats a nice jump in FPS.
Not sure ill jump on the 3080. I want the 3090.

Exactly, Most people are struggling to get 60 FPS out of 4K gaming. Imagine trying to get 60 FPS out of 8K?

Yea, Id say thats a bit longer then anyone envisioned this game taking. All because this guy cant stop feature creeping the shit out of the game. Then adding a FPS mode that no one wanted right away. that could have come at a later date when the base game was completed. That is why we as backers are frustrated to no end and are at our wits end with you Mr Roberts!!
