Part of their allegations is that ZeniMax/Bethesda were doing this to prevent Rune 2 (and any potential future games/DLC in the franchise) from competing for market share with The Elder Scrolls 6.
Just because they sound completely paranoid doesn't mean they are wrong.

While I don't think ZeniMax/Bethesda have been the best of companies, that part of the allegations sounds far more like paranoid conspiracy theory and/or trying to cover for their own failings than anything that has a root in reality.
Your delusional, Is it paranoid when Human Head took the Source Code and then refused to give it to Ragnarok until they forced the issues with a lawsuit?
Seriously you are clueless and have no idea what you are talking about.
You're just going with the narrative they're trying to put forth about constantly being sabotaged to keep the game from being a success. While they have some reasonable claims, others like ZeniMax/Bethseda having done this as a long term plan to keep Rune from being a successful franchise are so stupidly outlandish that you'd have to be wearing a full suit of tinfoil to fall for it.

So, don't go giving the Ragnarok devs a hard time, they have been very open about their intentions for the game and very forthright.

Its got some nice touches, some that are better then BG3, but both games could learn from each other.
Thanks Darks!

So what the fuck am I missing here?
Who is paying to play a SP RPG in an unfinished state? You only get one crack at it. Remember when that version of that old wolverine movie leaked online like 15 years ago before they had finished rendering all the CG for the fight scenes? It was like half the movie wasn't finished. I watched it, and was like: "wow, what an utter piece of shit". Years later I saw the finished version, and while it didn't make it a great movie, it became totally watchable, and even something that I would have had a lot of fun going to the theatre to see. I was always mad at myself for having ruined it so utterly horribly for myself.
So these are the "die hard" day-0 fans of the series who will be getting the worst possible experience (outside of closed testing) with the game they love so much.
I don't get it.

How is the combat compared to DoS2? From every video I've seen (before the alpha), it seemed pretty much identical.

Have fun testing this Alpha testers!
On that note, is the game (so far) any good? Do you think it will live up to the hype? (Please no spoilers) Thanks.
- Intro CGI sequence is awesome
- cool char generation embedded into intro
- graphics are very good, nice transition from cut scene / dialogue to game world and back
- art style seemed good where Original Sin was just too "cartoonish" for me
- combat was easy to pick up
- some nice skill checks / decisions in the first hour, not sure I want to see the D20 die roll, though
While I swore to myself to never touch a fantasy RPG again after Witcher 3 (it was just too good) I actually want to play this now.
