Somebody please correct me if I am wrong... but I always thought (or was under the assumption) that Interplay owned the Dark Alliance trademark. I know they didn't own the Baldur's Gate trademark... but I was at least pretty sure they owned the Dark Alliance part. And that was mainly the reason we never got another one in the series. Did they sell the trademark or am I getting this all wrong?

I'm curious as to how many normal (non-streamer), who haven't previously played Halo people actually kept playing the game after purchase.
I'd previously played the games, but it's been a LONG time. After getting this, if I hadn't known the games, I think I would have quit during the first two hours and refunded.
The game literally has no opening. It's just "here you go, you're the new guy on this team." ... If you played the Halo games in release order, this is fine, because you know the setup, and such. But they've deciced to do them chronologically, and the beginning of this game is absolutely not engaging from a storytelling standpoint.
Also, it just kind of expects you to know mechanics (use energy weapons on shields, then bullets), without going over anything.
I'm also having issues with mouse/keyboard... there's just something "off" about the mouse controls that I can't put my finger on. I have smoothing and acceleration off, so it's not that.

I think TIME's Person of the Year for 2019 should be the Earth for taking all kinds of abuse from humans and still kicking on.![]()

Ok managed to fix the crashing by updating DirectX and launching it directly from the .exe file.
Now I have a different problem. The textures look, really weird. Like there is a tiny grid running through them. It's weird, I can't explain it. Turning off sharepening fixes that, but then they just look muddy. This is on max textures setting. Oh boy...
I didn't notice this on gameplay videos I've seen, maybe its related to the new driver? (I downloaded the gameready drivers released today)

If I had three friends interested in this, I'd check it out but since I'm a digital hermit I'll have to pass since it doesn't have bot support.

Who's stupid idea was it to charge full or near full price for a game that's been available on PC for over a year? Do they seriously think people are going to be okay with this? After a year of release on a platform (PC is the platform), it should be selling for 19.99.

So you can now pay full price instead of 25% off that Green Man had it last week, and you STILL have to install and create an account for the Rockstar store and loader? The only reason to wait for steam was to avoid that, so it's really a bit pointless. Or am I wrong and it only loads in the background without needing an account?

It's shitty but I don't think this Ragnarok has anything on Human Head.
All the stuff they're mad about doesn't actually seem to be in their contract, and the few things they can find to complain about in the contract (numbered milestones) they make a big deal about them not being complete, yet they ended up paying for them anyway.Ragnarok believed Human Head when it said it was highly motivated to go above and beyond the terms of the contract.
Put it in the contract dumb dumbs.

Best footage they've released so far.....but no cockpit views. Due to PGI's track record and the fact that it's EGS exclusive, I look forward to seeing what the state of the game is when it releases on Steam.
