I wonder if the game will be able to sustain itself long enough for them to fix everything. Massive steam user drop since launch, as many bugs NOW than there were at launch as patches have broken key end-game systems like expeditions. No cash shop yet so no income there to support the game. That they can only put out one patch a week because of the regulations of the company that run the game servers is extremely unfortunate. Perhaps absurd.
Honestly, I love games like this, but It got so boring after a while. The Boss fights were not balanced very well and were some of the hardest fights I have ever been in.
Gold drops in the game are so pathetic, it is very hard to get gold. Having to pick up every piece of loot and make endless runs back and forth to town just takes a lot of the fun out of the game. I felt more like a junk man constantly hauling items back to town more often then fighting just to earn gold.
The End game stuff is so stupid how its implemented, it would be OK if they didn't require a shit ton of gold to research projects. Devs were more worried about a gold exploit and fixing it then fixing the mainline issues in the game.
Being honest, the game has lost a lot of players becasue of the sheer greediness of the devs to implements these high end game instances that dont pay out very well, they want you to grind the game to death to earn anything. For the life of me, I dont know why this developer didn't learn a damn thing from blizzards mistakes.
Blizz did some of the same stupid shit when D3 was released, but after a year and the removal of the market, they fixed the gold drops so that Gold was not even an issue anymore. The players could concentrate on enjoying and playing the game. This is something these devs have totally missed and why their game is failing.
I would not be a bit surprised if this game is dead within a year. Why opt as an indie developer to use a online hosting service and spend a lot of money per-month on a game thats Coop? That to me makes no sense at all.
Once this game is dead, so is Coop, say goodbye to it becasue there will not be anyway to play Coop again once they pull the plug.
I'm having bad flashbacks to Sword Coast Legends. Sure feels like the same mistakes they made happening all over again.
