The company who makes deals with third-party games to sell exclusively on their store, is suing the company who wants a cut from third-party sales made on their own store. Oh the ironing...

36 hours of play, not a single crash, running at Ultra, smooth as butter. I feel for the folks having issues but I'm loving it. So excited it came to PC.

The unlock was pretty fast on my SSD (under 10 mins) vs the hour or more with death stranding on my spinning drive.
Some people said it was single threaded, but it's not, I checked and the decrypting process took up all my cores (16 if you count my HT).
It's a bit annoying and I don't understand why it's required in this game and almost no others, but there's a 5-10 min texture optimization kinda routine it has to run first startup.
Also, I'm curious to know other people's results in the in game benchmark (under settings, graphics). See if my experience is an outlier.
On my geforce 2080 graphics card with latest drivers (451.67) specifically for horizon zero dawn, 32gb ram, nvme SSD samsung 970 pro 1tb, and i9-9900 running the built in benchmark it's pretty dang choppy at 1080p and ultra settings. Min FPS is only 16, although it says average is 57. And I can replicate that with only running 30 seconds of the benchmark.

Cant say that I have and any of those issues. I'm running everything maxed on Ultra, and its been very stable and smooth.
Getting over 65 Fps on an EVGA 2080 Super TFW, 32GB Corsair Vengeance Ram and an Samsung Evo Pro M.2 2 TB 3500 Mbps. on a 4K 32 in Predator Monitor.
No stuttering, and no crashes after a few hours o game f play. So far, the game and story have been great and the graphics in this game are really incredible looking. Some of the beast I have seen in a game in a while.
Maybe I'm an outlier, who knows.
I'm also enjoying the game and story and great graphics.

Game crashed instantly on first run, but ran successfully after that and did the 5 or 10 min texture thing.

The unlock is definately pegging all 8 cores of my intel CPU, it's not single threaded currently as rumors were. Although I had to change the crappy default win 10 view to see all my 16 logical HT ones.
Plus on my NVME SSD it's taking under 10 mins to unlock.

Digital Foundry covered it and the port is a train wreck, very disappointing.

..And just earlier I mentioned not hearing about ANTHEM in the EA financials/ goals meeting....
It took them until just now to realize that the loot fell short..? .... & now they are going to take a good look at games that inspired them ??
Shouldn't that have been about 5 years ago ,,-- you know- back in the planning stages ...?
WOW ! Chris Roberts might want to give these guys a call and get them onboard his merry, little wagon too.

This looks great, but somebody was saying on bluesnews (I think?) that it's basically a reskinned Company of Heroes, in terms of gameplay mechanics.

I definitely worry Epic game store will go out of business MUCH MORE than Steam.
It’s interesting. For Valve, Steam is the endless stream of revenue that drives the rest of their business. It’s also allowed them to make enough mistakes that would have shut down most other companies. Or forced them into a buyout.
For Epic, it’s Fortnite and that revenue won’t last forever. So the clock is ticking for them to take enough of Steam’s market share to generate a sustainable profit.

Let's call this what it really is, a fucking pay to play demo. They must not be getting the pre-order numbers they want from it.

Really enjoyed New Dawn, just hope they are more depth and variety... to well... pretty much everything. The game engine and fundamentals have so much potential.
Oh, and you guys better continue with the real co-op you brought us in FC5!
