So much for the 5th Amendment, and our rights to express ourselves. this should never even go to court. Any Judge stupid enough to allow this should be disbarred forever. And if the developer cant take the heat then get the fuck out of the kitchen. Good for Valve too for dumping these asshats. Once Valve dumped them, they pretty much committed digital suicide.

Nope, they have no control over the VAC system. And now the company is defunct. So no one can do anything and no one gives a shit about the game since its pretty much gone.

Like I said, the only thing Ash was able to do was give me a new CD key. And he modified my chars with Gold and items.

Ash told me that many of the team at nSpace did not like VAC being in place and wanted it removed. They said they too saw no reason for VAC being in this game, but this was Digital Extremes that controlled it and wanted it in place. They funded the game. So thats how that all went down.

Let me just say I have a real hate for this system. I know itís in place for a reason, but the system is broken at the same time.

For instance. I was playing Sword Coast Legends by myself, got about 6 hours into the game, ran into a part where a quest asked me if I wanted to pay for information, it would cost me 1000 gold. I had the around 5K of Gold, so I say yes. Next thing I know the game took all of my gold.

Could not complete the quest because I was now broke. So I used Cheat Engine and gave myself some gold. Next thing I know a few days later I get a VAC ban. I argued and argued, but Valve and their bull shit policies would not hear of it nor will they overturn the ban. Even the developer Ash, who I know personally tried to get this over turned and they would not.

So Ash gave me a new CD key, but I have to use the game if I want to play it MP on my Alt account.

They need to institute a warning system and allow you to at least get warned if you do it again. Just out right banning someone is bullshit. So Valve can fuck themselves when it comes to VAC.

Don't cheat in multiplayer games. I don't care what the reason is. Report the bug. You should have known that they would look for so blatantly obvious like Cheat Engine

Dude, myself and many other had no idea VAC was even in this game. in fact it has no fricking place in the game. VAC is mainly there for competitive games to keep people from cheating in MP games. this game has no pvp so why the fuck is in this game??

And yes, the VAC ban is for life on that game. Another fucking reason VAC is bullshit and not balanced. And BTW, your comment to report the bug was reported by many. Guess what? the bug is still there and hasn't been fixed, nor will it ever be fixed. You your logic is flawed, and I never count of Developers to fix things. And this is a perfect example of why.

this is likely going to be *THE* VR space sim game for me. Elite Dangerous is...overly complex, and Star Citizen seems to be trying to put even MORE shit between the player and the action.

Unfortunately, they aren't putting any UI into VR until the base game's UI is finalized, so that keep me from buying EA.

Yep, this game defiantly looks pretty nice. I like how it seems simplified. I cant stand flight sims or space sims that have an ungodly amount of controls to figure out. It just takes the wind out of the game and the fun factor.

Playing a game for 15 mins does not cut it. This is where Steam and many other sites should put a stop to users abusing this system by making it so you can review a game unless you have at least 2 hours invested in the game.

"I tried every tip posted online, every suggestion from forums and friends, but I couldn't even once get the came to run for more than 30 seconds without crashing. Thumbs Down. Do not buy."

So, just because it didn't work on your pc that means its the game right>? Sorry, but that would be bullshit. Im IT and I cant even begin to tell you how many times Ive seen a pc be the cause of issues. Ill bet anything that your pc was the problem.

Or maybe a weighted system for the review score based on the amount of time played. Play an 80 hour game 80 hr or more, the review is weighted 100 percent of normal. Play a 20 hour game 1 hour and the review is weighted as 5% of normal.

Although this doesn't address the keys for good reviews problem. Still, I think it would be handy to provide a slightly better accuracy for overall review scores.

That's actually a pretty good idea, except for 1 thing, running the game and let it sit at a menu for X amount of time.
I think Prez did this with Snuggle Truck.

The other thing is the idiots who play for 500 hours, then end up giving the game a negative review.

Also, how to handle games with short playtimes?

funny, you say that. this actually happened. Some guy after Sword Coast Legends was released played the game for 86 hours. then complained about the game and wanted a refund. Needles to say, he did not get one and the joke on the forums was 86 hours. Fricking people!!!

Hopefully they switch to idTech after Fallout 4. I think that was the plan? That would mean that:

a) game would run better, look better, and be overall less buggy due to engine issues/limitations.

and

b) multiplayer shouldn't be TOO hard to hack in later as the bones for the net code will all still be there.

One can dream on part b).

Hadn't heard that, but it would be fantastic, if true. So sick of gamebryo/"creation".

Bethesda needs to just go ahead and add MP Coop. Playing this game with one or two friends would be a blast. plus they could really ramp up the difficulty then with Coop.

I get it that some dont want to play Coop, and thats fine, you can still play the game SP but I would like to have the option of playing it Coop too.

The graphics update isn't terribly noticeable. Turning on max view distance DESTROYS your framerate, and this is on a 1080. Now, I AM running SSAA 4x, so I'm rendering every frame at well over 4K. *Might* have something to do with it. But it looks WAY better in the close-field areas that way, and I'm not terribly worried about seeing the outline of mountains two zones over.

I doubt the new drivers help much at all, but I'll do some testing.

Question? Why run ssaax4 at 4k resolution? Other than typical anti-aliasing smearing effect and a dip in image quality, why run it at all at 4k? It's a significant performance killer.

I'm not trying to be snarky. Is there something i'm missing here?
One of the benefits of running 4k for me(for the most part)is the ability to finally get rid of anti-aliasing altogether for a nice crisp image without blurred colors etc.

So you're saying running on a 4K monitor, AA is overkill? Just curious, as I do 'not' have a 4K monitor.

I've actually started to wonder about this since I have a 28" 4K Monitor, I've noticed that even with AA off and didn't noticed any jagged edges. Anyone else know if there is actually a difference having AA on or not?

Absolutely no use for a curved monitor. Bought one to try it out and ended up returning it.

Might work for TV's where you sit some distance from the TV, but for a monitor just flat out stupid.

Quote and End Quote!

Enough said, but blues, yes that may be good. But as he said when you have large screens 24 and up. Its going to kill the eyes and neck from having to pan around all the time.

Ill stick with my 28" UHD 4K monitor, its works great.

There's a passage in that Samsung article talking about some sort of lightboost-ish tech. If they can get that working at the same time as free sync... I'd love to see an extensive blurbusters article on this when they get review units.

There is no need for a curved screen monitor for gaming monitors of this size. its a gimmick that servers no purpose to allow you to see the game any better. I've looked at them and I personally cant see any reason for them.

They always try to sell you on the they do it at the movie theater so you can see the screen better. Well, we are not talking about a movie screen the size of a building either. When you are sitting 4 feet away from a monitor, you dont need it to be curved to see the game better.

IDK, I think to many people are to easily impressed. I really didn't see anything about this that blew me away. To many people are in a hurry to praise what they are seeing, but the reality of it is, hes had 5 years to make this game so far. And this is all he really has to show for? Those of us who originally backed this game are getting very I'm patient with him.

Don't count me among the many who are ready to bow down to him. Everything I've seen here No Mans Sky is already doing.
