Pretty much. It wouldn't matter if it was being released for free tomorrow, someone here would still bitch about it.

I'm with you all on this one. I'm getting pretty tired of all the whining and bitching about the graphics. First it was, when it is it coming out. people were going batshit crazy waiting for it. now that its been confirmed all they can do is bitch about the graphics.

Same old Blues Crew at their best. Its like a no win scenario with these guys I swear.

What's up with the X360 / PS3 era graphics? And why does the dog have flat textures for fur and walk like a malfunctioning robot with joint problems?

Not impressed. I'm sure the gameplay will be fine but they seriously need a decent engine.

Ah, a little delusional or what?

I see nothing wrong with the animation of the dog running. Looks right to me. And there is nothing wrong with those graphics.

Modders will defiantly come out with some HD graphics packs like Skyrim, but I see nothing wrong with whats I've seen so far.

Anyone else wondering how they are going to fund this game when they are giving away three games. each game cost at least 20 dollars. and there are 11580 backers. times that by 20 and that already over 230 thousand.

Seems like a lot of funding is going to get wasted on a free game promised.

Welcome to how new powers rise. I live half a mile from the first powered textile mill in America. Know how we got it? A guy went over to Britain, visited theirs, memorized what he saw, and made a copy when he got home.

We basically stole the whole industrial revolution from Britain. We shouldn't be shocked that the tables turned once we got on top.

You are delusional, America revolutionized the Industrial Age, we lead the way in all Tech. So don't spill that crap about how we stole someone else s tech. that happens by low tech and fabricating companies who cant compete with mainstream industry.

So tell me again who invented the CPU? the Phone? Electricity? and a ton of other tech. So Yea, you can go away now.

The new patch is nice, and its nice that you can finally remap most of the keys. but there are still keys that cant be rebound.

E key and the Shift key for instance for Running. and the Canter. I have no idea why they wont allow this key to be double mapped like some of the other can be. So I manually remapped them to use the same key and it works perfectly.

The issue I have is that Riding the Horse or when Swimming you cant re use keys for those specific instances. No idea why the Devs don't allow this. So again, I edited the .INI file to make them work like I need them.

If you all are needing to do the same, just go to the Documents folder\Witcher 3 and edit the input.setting.ini file

HoSpanky wrote on May 20, 2015, 12:34:
It locks up on me far too often to be fun. I've got a pair of 970s, anyone else running SLI? The lockups always occur during cutscenes, right after the camera changes location. The last speech clip finishes playing, then silence. I can alt-tab and kill the process.

When it's NOT busy locking up, the game runs silky smooth, and actually strains the cards LESS than W2 (Witcher 2, with everything at max, is the only game to cause one of my cards to whine). Haven't had enough time with it to really decide one way or the other if I like it.

Things I've noticed:

The child version of Ciri has a weird-ass face.
The lack of strafing is annoying, but it hasn't gotten me killed yet.
I've been playing using a 360 controller, which seems to work fine.
The slowest horse movement speed has a hitch every time the animation cycles, stopping forward motion for a frame or two each time.

I'm assuming my lock-ups are SLI-related, which is something I've come to accept with a dual-card setup. Usually it gets sorted out within a couple weeks, or...6 months, in Far Cry 4's case. I was honestly shocked that GTAV exhibited zero weirdness with dual cards...my CPU holds that game back, and even then, it's only when driving at high speeds through downtown.

Not using SLI. I've found it to be to quirky at times for my taste.

Yes, I felt the same way about Ciri, she looked odd.

This is a big one for me, the lack of strafing drives me nuts. the whole moving in the game for short distances when trying to line up on a torch to light it or open something is just an odd terrible feel to the game.

I like the game, but the movement needs to be fixed. I've had no other issues with lockups or any crashing. so for me the games been very stable.

So CDPR gimped the game out of greed to tap into the console markets and in the end everyone loses regardless. And there seems to be a ton of stability issues for PC players to boot. I hear it crashes more than Crash Bandicoot crashing a party. Nice play, Shakespeare.

Game looks beautiful and runs fine for me Guitarist

Same here, haven't experienced any issues or crashing at all.

But anyone who has been around 10+ years in PC Gaming knows that while AMD has good hardware, they are NOTORIOUS for horrible drivers. Every time I have upgraded my GPU since the good old VOODOO days, this has played a factor into my purchase of NVIDIA cards, and why I will NOT purchase a AMD card.

Funny enough it was the opposite reason that I jumped from nvidia to amd back around when the 290 drivers were released. Because while their hardware was great, all their drivers did for nearly a year was crash, crash, crash, TDR, TDR, TDR all the while they tried blaming users for it. Until it came to light that it was their drivers causing the problems, because their cards ran so hot they dropped the voltage down to keep the gpu cooler. That caused serious instability, and then they fixed it for about 3 releases and all of a sudden the problem was back again.

Each to their own.
AMD I haven't had to many issues over the years. Maybe a hickup here and there. nVidia was a constant battle with drivers for me back in the day but I haven't been back to them in years because of it. Think it was 4400's and 6800's for me.

One day I might try nVidia out again but to this day AMD and its drivers have done me well over the years on all my cards. I even have the R290 which was notorious for issues.

Yes, you are talking ancient drivers. But ever since Nvidia bought out 3DFX and brought in their people. The 3DFX team fixed their drivers to what they are today.

I have no issues with the Nvidia drivers. they are really stable and always worked for me.

This, and what Verno said. This is exactly why I don't buy anything AMD.

I stick with what work well, Intel and NVidia. Neither have failed me over the years and will continue to do so. These complaints are nothing more then fan boys of AMD looking for someone to put the blame on because their systems are not working as they intended.

What's with that?

(Witcher 3) They fucked up key bindings badly. Can't remap a bunch of keys, and movement keys aren't even listed. If you're not WASD, you don't exist.

But GTA5 is awesome.

Sure they do, its called AutoHotKey. the best remapping tool on the planet. I use it all the time when developers try to fuck us over.

BTW, I have a few hours into the game so far and its been great so far. My only real complaint would have to be that there is no strafing. this console crap for turning right left is bad. it makes you stutter step when trying to move around and potion yourself in front of an item.

I'm not excited by this reveal, because Doom doesn't trigger that nostalgia stuff that it does for others. To me, it's just a new FPS reveal and all I do is hope it'll be a good one.

Your not alone, I enjoyed it too. I especially enjoyed it playing with the mod for 2 players Coop.
