Yep, let Bungie work out all the issues on the consoles first before the PC version comes out.

game is fun and worth a try if you liked chivalry. whether i'll actually play it depends on if they fixed the game enough from the buggy broken mess it was when it launched. worth a shot for $free.99

Is this game all about PVP? or are there other aspects like PVE and Coop? Give me some details please, Because from the looks of it, this game is pretty much dead and why they are giving it away free today. Then its getting a price slash after today.

So, basically, they are trying to lure people back to the game by giving it away free.

Idiots will buy the game anyway. Only way to end the micro transactions is by no one buying it or any game with these transactions. It's easy to get rid of this practice, but most people are just stupid and will buy it.

So, just because someone likes the game we are all idiots? Okay!! Right!!!

Even though in the end the Van Helsing games were still buggy by the end of life patches - they were still awesome and fun ARPG's. Not to mention the co-op and multiplayer was fun as well. Deathtrap - same thing just tower defense.

This is basically Van Helsing as someone said earlier just with a Warhammer 40K skin and some different mechanics surrounding that. It is buggy, and stuff isn't in yet obviously. Still, I'm having just as much fun with it as with the other games from NeoCore. I just worry the game will never finish being patched out.

Also, just today there have been like 3 patches. So yes, this isn't a moneygrab or anything like that. These guys are a known quantity (however good or bad that is) and you can be almost certain the game will come out of EA finished (besides the mentioned buggy stuff their games usually have).

The patch fixed the issues with the chat window always staying open. And, if you all know this developer you would know that they are pretty committed to completing their games. The prior 3 Van Helsing were a lot of fun.

Undead look pretty sweet, though I've no idea as of yet if I'll play one.

Very much looking forward to the game, may pre-order (based solely on my love of the D:oS1), but not likely the CE.

Loved the original game, so yes I backed this game too with the collectors edition. Cant wait to place this statue next to my 1 foot tall Belaphoss statues from the collectors I got with Sword Coast Legends.

Will be sweet seeing both of these side by side!!

Will be watching this carefully. Some of the gameplay videos Ive seen make the combat look kind of clunky, and people seem to fight with their controls than with the actual enemies, but maybe thats the point? I

Yes, the controls are a bit wonky, I've even brought this up in the betas forums. They are looking to add some different controls features like a move button.

I've gotten around this and made my own move button using Auto Hot Key. The game plays so much better using just one button to move your toon around. The default is the standard ones used using a WASD type of moving which to me sucks and is very clunky. Or you use the mouse button holding it down to move.

Looks nice, anyone know how it plays?

It plays a lot like Van Helsing, this is the same developer.

Its still got a lot of bugs and balancing needed but for the most part its a pretty fun game and it does have Coop too if that interest you.

There are three classes to play as. With three sub classes for each class. The combat has been a bit brutal playing by myself.

You end up doing a lot of dodging and cover fire since you can take a lot of damage from the enemy. This is defiantly a game where you need to have more people in the missions helping you to do some flanking and take some of the aggro off you.

Also, theirs a market in the game, not a real money one, but a vendor to buy and upgrade your equipment and armor. There is also crafting so you can make better items and weapons too.

Again, very similar to the way Van Helsings crafting and vendors worked.

In the main home base theirs a large space map with star systems all over the place that you can you choose where you want to go and what missions you take on. Missions are marked with a difficulty scale on each type of mission. Some are ground while others are large hulking ships in space you board.

The game defiantly has potential. if you liked Van Helsing, and you like War-hammer 40 K then im pretty sure many of you will like this game.

Ill take real time RTS action over this crap any-day of the week.

As one who played entirely too much D1 on Ps4, this beta client is surprisingly refreshing and solid AF.

The bone dry beta content aside, the Strike is fantastic. The sheer scope and verticality are a significant step up over the first.

In the end it is just more Destiny, but finally having the option to run it on a proper PC in 4k@60fps is glorious. It feels like a different animal altogether. And that Hunter(exotic)hand cannon they give you at the beginning made me giggle like a goddamn school girl, watching Cabal heads pop like a grape in a fiery explosion. So good..

I was planning on picking it up on ps4 to join some friends, waiting for their goddamn horseshit staggered release, but after playing it on PC, i'm much less motivated to ever go back to ps4..friends be damned. ;)

I guess that's part of the problem for someone like me (never played the original). The Strike itself was pretty cool but the boss fight is what kind of killed the game for me. Bungie has stated they made the game 30 FPS on consoles so it could be larger with more enemies. The more enemies part I got, but the boss battle felt ridiculously constrained to me. I spent the majority of the time running around, ducking, dodging, avoiding fire, trying to stay alive or rezz allies, sometimes taking down "adds," all the while hating ammo limitations and ability cooldowns (and what's worse, I hear the console beta was even tighter in both regards). Quite frankly the mechanics kept me from enjoying the splendor of the fight and, in any case, for a game where I wanted to embrace mobility, the arena was small and I was hiding behind shit half the damn time. If that's Destiny then, pardon my language, f*** that s***. I can take a time portal back to 2005 and just enjoy Ragnaros, thank you very much.

However it was REALLY nice to see a game run properly on PC. It really was polished and smooth, and I even embraced the UI. I liked the handcannons but frankly most of the other weapons felt weak to me. Don't get me wrong I'm used to "bullet sponge" in these games but I switched up weapons many, many times trying the strike and most of them felt pretty terrible to use (when I wasn't meleeing to conserve ammo). I agree it's a shame the PC version comes out much later as one thing that might've motivated me was being able to explore/learn right from the get go, but now that I know 99% of shit will be done by the time I'd get a copy, I'll wait for bargain bin. I think the amount of people who both really want this game and are willing to wait for the PC version are few and far between - which is kind of a shame.

I'm having a hard time understanding your complaints about the End boss for the strike mission fight. Why is it so bad to have to run around dodging the boss and trying to survive a hard fight like that so bad?

I dont understand this complaint. This is whats good about the fights, being tactful and not standing there just face blasting the enemy. Anyone can do that. Its the challenge of the fight that makes it fun and worth it.

Putting Denuvo on a inexpensive game like this is despicable. I think Steam broke a record giving refunds for this game.

I agree dude, this is just about as ridiculous as it gets. they spent probably more money implementing this piece of shit DRM then it cost them to make the game.

And besides, the DRM has about as much chance or surviving getting cracked as a snowball in hell.

Look at the new game Agents of Mayhem, its got cracking in a weeks time. This dev defiantly doesn't have a clue. But then again its SEGA the clueless company.

I actually like the beta, payed the Coop mission with some friends and we had a blast. was a lot of fun. Maxed out everything ran like a champ on the Ti 1080 on 28" 4K HD monitor full resolution.

held 60 FPS without any drops at all.

I don't care what you "buy into" I gave my opinion of the game.

And I really dont care what you think!!

My impression of the beta: (PC)
I was able to get in the 24 early period, but it took 2 hours of contentiously restarting game to get it to connect. error saxophone
Once in, I was pleasantly surprised about Nathan Fillion voice over. Sadly, this was the highlight.
The intro mission was kinda boring and VERY linear. The cut scenes were okay, but ugly.
The match making was painfully slow, and 1 game never loaded. I had to Alt F4 that.
PVE was fun once. It is like replaying the same dungeon run over.. and over.. and over.
PVP was chaos and all about hand-cannon/grenade launcher (1 "hit" kills). Again, boring fast.
The over all graphics (1080P max settings) ran great, but it looked like it was a 8 year old game. Reminds me of Borderlands. The fire was annoying bad, and I found my character got stuck on pebbles that I would have to jump over. I actually got stuck in a tree once.

final words: 4/10 already uninstalled and not going to play again. Might be good for console newbs who have to use a controller.

Well I trust a 3 post review far more than when you say you had fun in anything coop Your definition of fun is totally muddled, you don't have fun with the specific game, you have fun playing with your friends. Sadly, your friends are not included in a purchase of Destiny 2....

Well, I have a lot of friends who we all have the same common interest and love playing coop.

As for you, well I guess you don't have any friends which is why you dont enjoy the game. Sucks to be you!!

And by the way, dont talk to me as if you know me, cause you dont know jack shit about me or what I play or enjoy.

For those who dont know, I was the person who created Rune Coop back in the day and the devs lent me some assistance with the mod. They are all a bunch a great guys. So glad Rune has finally been announced.
