how people can digest Cryteks crap once theyve played CoD4To each their own... I have never liked the CoD series. The first Medal of Honour game for the PC was great but after that, and now with CoD, those games have been pure "meh". CoD series is like Britney Spears of games.
i wonder if the optimizations in warhead will automatically apply to crysis if installed on the same systemThat will not be the case. It remains to be seen if the Warhead optimizations and enhancements will get implemented to Crysis later on via patch. Crytek has told it maybe could happen. Time will tell.
It is supposed to show a real scene in comparison to the ray traced one.I don't think the FC2 clip is ray-traced at all. To me the article seems to be just a misunderstanding, of sorts.
* It's for Windows Vista PCs only - it won't run on Windows XP machines
* It's Futuremark's first DirectX 10 only benchmark
* Direct3D 10 includes a new Shader Model (4.0), plus Geometry Shaders, and it also involves a new driver model for graphics cards
If I remember correctly the system requirements for Alan Wake put Crysis to shame.For recommended; quad-core (+ Vista) is not so bad, especially if the game is getting its release 1 year from now, or near the end of 2008.
any requirements yet?Nope. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said in the GameSpot GC07 interview that the announcement for the system requirements is probably coming during the first half of September.
I thought i read somewhere that quad core is the best for Crysis.Yup.
