Maybe if Carmack could make a decent game ppl would be more fond of it. Yeah bring it on so ppl can get over it cause it ain't gonna be that great. I just want the hype to end, period. It's gotten more attention than it deserves due to 1 man being involved who is treated better than he deserves. In regards to Rage3d, it is fairly busy with lots of discussion(yes some of it driver issue but hardly the majority) and ATI's drivers are perfectly fine and have been for some time(assuming you know what you are doing)

I agree I owned an ATI card when Nvidia was "better" and I will continue to support them. I have only run into driver issues with 1 game(THPS3) which I didn't care that much about. Maybe I have been lucky for 3-4 years to not have had any ATI driver issues like so many ppl claim. Unlike the naysayers I have seen ATI drivers improve over the years while ppl continue to use the old "ATI drivers suck" line. I am sure at least 1 game would be buggy if I used Nvidia. I don't plan on getting Doom3 no matter how nice it looks...it will only look nice I doubt it will play nice. And I assumed Carmack would package his game with Nvidia since he seems to favor them quite a bit. Speed is not my top priority in games, visual quality is. That's why I will be using ATI whether the new Radeon is #1 or not.
