Damn, I just added the same or very similar components on a local Canadian computer parts website (www.tigerdirect.ca) and the total came to $1500.00 not including a HD... Why is our stuff so expensive?

Thanks guys - last few questions:

1) I forgot HD! I noticed they come in "8MB" and "16MB" - is it important to get the 16MB versions?
2) Is it worth my trouble ordering online from the US? Or will the Duty charge equal up and possibly cost me more for the differences in price?

Wow thanks very much for that list! I am located in Mississauga which is just outside of Toronto, ON. Funny you mention the quiet case - the one I have now I have to keep the sides off of because the vid card overheats easy and the fan I have on the processor has gotten so loud I have to shut the door when I am not in the room. Please keep the advice coming

Enahs,

Funny I was going to say "Well my pricing is in Canadian..." but that dosn't really matter anymore I am hoping around $1000-$1500 but it's been so long I have forgetten how much components usually cost. I won't need to replace my case, DVD burner and sound card. So I am primarily looking at MOBO, Processor, RAM, Power Supply and Video Card unless I am forgetting something major.

Hey Guys,

Lately I've been itching to play some games again and my 6yr old 1.2ghz PC does not cut it anymore. I am looking for a guide for putting together a decent gaming PC for a decent price. I did some searching but could only find old guides or guides for very bare-bones $500 rigs - I would like something half decent that will run today's games but does not have to run at 2048x with 16X FSAA etc... As always any links/guidance is greatly appreciated!

Alright, I found it! I used the "Advanced Find" @ 3DGamers, very neat tool, made it easy.

Anyways its called "The Rage":

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry I should have been more clear. It was a PC game and is not directly related to the Final Fight series, but is very similar in game play.. you'd choose a character, walk down the street and beat the crap out of baddies while moving on to the next stage. Eventually running into the occasional boss...

Hi Guys,

I hate to post such requests here in the middle of your comments but I can't think of a better place to get an answer.

I am looking for the title of a game that I remember playing about 3-4 years ago. The best way I can describe it is that it is basically a more-modern version of the classic game "Final Fight" for SNES. The walk from scene to scene while punching/throwing/beating up thugs. I remember in the modern version you could pick up weapons like pipes and bats etc...

If anyone may happen to know what game I have in mind or even any other games that are similar I would greatly appreciate it. I recently got the TV-OUT working from my PC to TV and have been playing emulators on the TV... sweeet.

Hello,

I am thinking about installing the Windows Vista RC1 preview on my computer... does anyone happen to know if this is likely to cause my installed games to stop working? Particularly HL2... If anyone has any experiance I'd apprecaite your input.

Whats the name of that game that allows you to do different things, which changes the endings? I remember in the demo your in a cafe diner and you kill a guy in the bathroom unexpectantly... I think that's all I have to say Thanks ahead of time.

This has probably been talked about here already, but does anyone else here play Warrock? The beta is free right now at Warrock.net - someoen told me about it and I tried it out. It is pretty fun for someone like me who still has an old ass system (1.2ghz, 512ram, fx5600) and it runs well!

It's all about the Hockey baby...

Edit: I really hope that stupid blood-sport gets banned.

Edit 2: I didn't know there were still places on this earth that have not yet been visited by man (on land). You would think that when posting a discovery of new types of breeds, you might want to include some gee.. I dunno.. pictures!?

Just because he is giving it to his daughter dosnt necessarily mean he will let her drive it right away. Im sure he will be careful about it. And considering whats missing, $2500 should cover a fair chunk of it..

Cool cant wait to try this - I have been interested in this game for so long.. they have been developing it for some time now havent they?

Is anyone else getting REALLY tires of that friggin flash advertisement at 3DGamers when you click the "Downloadable files" link? I knew the site would get ruined when they got taken over...
