Somebody is jealous they can not even make virtual friends.

If I had to make virtual friends I wouldn't make them like you Denial Boy. Grease me monkey boy, deny me all you want I will still imagine you clinging to my pole with that surprised expression on your face. Dedicate your life to avoiding conflict. It will still find you.

EDIT: anyone have a copy of what I posted? - clearly it was something special. I kinda remember a load of crap about some guy whose house was in such a bad state he almost killed a monkey or something but it might have been a dog and I love those guys so I would've remembered that. Was it a monkey that looked like a dog? That would be cool but I can see how I would be ambivalent about it. Oh!! Unless it was a really smart monkey that somehow learned to impersonate a dog. I would LOVE to have seen that. Anyway, the monkey-dog didn't die and the original posters are still dicks. I'm not exactly getting any pleasanter so what ends well ends well. No, what ended well should sell well. Or what sells well ends well. End well end swell. Something about ends....

EDIT2: Hey IF I started posting a lot of stuff in this thread about parents who endanger their children by not performing BASIC maintenance on their homes would it be a crime to censor it, for fear something actually happened to a kiddywink and it now looked like a cover-up? Hey, I'm not saying anybody was being criminally lax in regard to looking after their children, but if they were would it be a crime for the lord of the forum to cover it up? Just curious.

Ah well, I guess whatever I said is gone now. It'll probably stay buried unless the special forces need to dig it up. Should I report this thread as a potential attempt to hide a crime?

Probably not but I don't even remember what I said so who knows?...

Has there ever been a case of forum mod being held accountable for something said on their forum? Apart from those times people threatened to kill themselves and actually did. Oh...

Dick. He killed himself in 2003 as well. He actually pointed to the threads. You're worried about scraps like Fredrickson when you have your own problems with your spawn.

Make no mistake, if the dogs where actually hurting my dog he would have hurt them…badly, he has just been trained to be gentle, and if they where actually hurting him (or trying to attack me…my dog would have killed them) when I was trying to stop them I would have hurt them….really badly.

Wanker. I've nothing to say how pathetic you are. It's beyond me. I bet your dogs love you though. Wanker. Hey let's hope those dogs don't have to choose between you, an ATOMIC bomb and your kids with leprosy. ANY of the other three could kill you but if your dogs ate them all you'd win and you'd only have to bury the losers. YAH!!! Oh... wanker.

Of which they get around a sixth. Still decent scratch for 3 20-somethings but not exactly stunning once you hit 30+.

Not that "fair use" has anything to do with it. It's a war. The machine that swallowed Shakespeare and Alexander to spit out movies stamps <copyright> on one arm while the other arm stamps fair use.

I can make a movie about the Taming Of The Shrew but if I make a movie around "Ten Things I Hate About You" I will be arse ridden by lawyers. And not in a good way.

The real fredrickson wouldn't have referenced "his" old posts. Imposter.

Suicide is not painless. Tried it once. Nasty. Don't recommend it. If you ever genuinely feel suicidal I suggest you turn your negative feelings of self-loathing and pity into something positive like hatred for society and mean spiritedness towards mankind. And womankind. Especially womankind. They're the ones to blame for everything. Why waste a life that could be spent bitching about women's hair and shoes for decades?

EDIT: speeeling. I'm feeling pretty fucked off a bottle and a half of wine last night - don't know what's happening to me cos I used to manage about three without feeling a thing. Old age is bollocks.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the future generation of consoles to be sized more like other home A/V equipment (i.e. roughly 17 inches wide, 12-14 inches deep) to allow for better cooling and design.

Or they could stop the gigahertz war and concentrate on making innovate games that don't require a nuclear power plant in your garden to run. If we had that we'd all benefit wouldn't we? We we we.

Or:

Never installed one of those household devices called a wife have you? They're fussy about what packing case sized boxes you install in the good room.

Sounds.... expensive.

Ah. But the (only?) uncensored version of Dead Rising is coming out in the UK. The US gets some cuddly wuddly game with kittens instead of zombies and hugs instead of chainsaws.

"Watch the trailer for 'Pathfinder.' Set 1000 years ago, it's the story of a Norseman torn between his Viking heritage and the Native American family that raised him."

Sounds familiar. Ah here we go. Nope. "Kings of the Sun" was about Mayans and Injuns. Native Americans? Native? Americans? Are Aztecs Native Americans? Is a Mexican with Aztec heritage a Native American? What's native about any of them? They moved there like everybody else, just a bit earlier. Native my ass. We're all Africans.

Let's not forget this gem from Blue himself...

learning that the support that couldn't save other EA MMORPGs from failing will be an aid to this project (Warhammer Online)

Nice catch.

When games require Vista... I'm done with PC gaming (As far as buying new games). Fuck Vista, Fuck DirectX 10, and Fuck Microsoft.

I salute you but I'm not ready to abandon the ship just yet. Probably makes me part of the problem.

Does the apparent thwarting of the UK plot justify government surveillance?

And nobody thought it did. Which is odd. I hear a lot of Americans saying that taking away their guns is wrong because they might need them to defend themselves against criminals. But suggest a few cameras on street corners might discourage criminals, or at worst help convict them after the event, and they plead their rights. I'm almost convinced on the free ownership of guns in a country already awash with them (Wild West ethos and all) but I'm yet to see the bad side of public surveillance cameras.

Seriously, if you're worried that the government will misuse surveillance cameras to track political opponents and agitators (not engaged in terrorism) or to keep tabs on tax cheats and marriage cheats or to profile the populace in general then isn't your problem with your Government not the cameras? I mean guns don't kill people, people do. And cameras don't hurt people, politicians do. Keep the cameras, change the politicians. You might think of starting an opposition party to the Demo-publicans.

And you're posting on a gaming site because....?

Now don't get me wrong, I run side by side with a Ubuntu box (which I have grown to love for the lack of mysterious pauses and general jackassey I get off my XP box) but running games on it is a futile endeavour. Yes you can wrap a lot of modern games in Opengl with Cedega and marvel at grafix we haven't seen for four years but why bother when you know you require Windows if you're going to play games. I wish it wasn't the case and every game got a Linux port. Hell I wish every website worked with Firefox but it's not happening anytime soon.

EDIT: and what paid distro are you using? Red Hat? So you're probably talking about server usage and keep an XP box yourself, in which case you're still under the WGA thumb just like the rest of us.

This looks like a game from n00bs for n00bs and starring n00bs

SNR round here is getting dangerously low.

It's an RPG. Grafix don't matter. Anyway I thought it looked pretty good. For an RPG. From Slovakia. That's gotta be spitting distance from Transylvania. Fuck me they might even have ACTUAL vampires on the DEV team.

I was saying something about SNR earlier but I forget.

EDIT: and let's not forget • hierarchic visibility detection. I'm pretty sure FFVII didn't have that.

I'm a bit surprised, given the polish seen in the demos.

All that's really been demonstrated to work so far (with the likes of Robin Williams) is the character editor and the ability to animate the resulting toon. I wouldn't be surprised if the later sim-style and UFO levels were all mocked up.

I think this is going to be a game that'll appeal to people who like the SIMs but don't mind the fact they're now going to be playing with weird aliens instead of dollies.

The proposed RTS and Sim-city game modes are going to have to be simplified and easy so they can be grokked by the mass market - so how's that going to grab anyone's attention here?
