wow, thats pretty huge, have nintendo ever let their characters been used like this for another platform except their own?

They also did some educational software for the PC using Mairo.

"Mario Teaches Typing" (DOS) comes to mind, mainly because of the somewhat-awful-but-memorable voice actor for Mario, haha! I still say "Mario Teaches Typing" out loud for a chuckle. (But absolutely no one gets the reference, hehe.) Interesting to see that it was made by the once-great Interplay.

Hi Slick,

Longtime reader here...not much of a commenter.

However, commenting now to state that I'm interested in one of your extra keys, if you might still have one.

(Would msg you, but don't see any way to do so.)

Can send me an email via my User Info page (http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=userinfo&user=20150), else send to Dokes on Steam.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Enahs,

Coincidentally, I just watched a Kizomba video as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU509cYPxvA

If you like Kizomba, do a search for Bachata - a bit faster, but can be just as sensual. (Well, the ladies love it, and that's all that matters, hehe...)

So I sent this video to Blue as a Media link and he did not post it.

It is the reason why I now am considering taking dance lessons! And I think you will all agree it is one of the best things about the internet (videos like these! heh)!

Might me NSFW, but it is not porn, but it is sensual.

Enjoy.

beast:

Shouldn't that be http://dtd.joypadjunkies.COM?

(.net went absolutely nowhere...)

And yes - the GTA series is nothing like the Carma series... Personally, I had more fun w/Carma 1-3 than GTA3, what w/the insane power-ups, pedestrian damage, and the demolition derby aspects of the game.

And as w/most of the other posters, Carma TDR was initially weird to get into (due to the zombies and the departure from the "cleaner" graphic style of the first two), but eventually still wound up enjoying it.

And Carma 2 doesn't run on DX9? Damn...guess I'll have to fire up the ol' 98 machine to reminisce...

uber muppet,

'Twas not my intention to misguide anyone. I was merely giving my honest first impressions from playing two gametypes via Instant Action (not online).

I played UT an insane amount back in its heyday. When 2K3 was announced, I was pretty jazzed, so much so that I bought it against my better judgment. By that, I mean that I played the demo, thought it felt like Q3, but hoped that the retail version was tweakable enough to make it feel like the UT that I enjoyed immensely. Sadly, this was not the case, and most of my UT friends agreed. All of our 2K3 CDs are collecting dust somewhere...

But w/2K4, I didn't get the same feeling as w/2K3. I can honestly say that I will be picking this game up - DVD version, of course! W/the little bit of time I've spent on the demo, I've even gone so far as to post my impressions on various sites, and I've never posted anything before in my life! (You'll notice that my account is brand-new...) Hopefully, Assault will catch on, since that is my favorite gametype (after DM).

So if you did not enjoy the 2K4 demo, that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. But as other posters (and other sites) have pointed out, many who enjoyed UT but not 2K3 are actually surprised to dig 2K4. (Initially, that is...)

Here's what I've posted on other sites:

FYI, d/l in 20 mins from nvidia zone!

First impressions:

Plays more like UT than 2k3, which is a good thing, IMHO. (2K3 felt too Q3-like!) Heck, even the sniper rifle is back, although w/some neat gunpowder-smoke after-effect and longer rate of fire. (Again, a good thing!) And that UT music remix is oh-so nostalgic!

Eye-candy is sweet and butter-smooth - runs great @16x12 on my AXP2600+/512MB/9500pro non-oc/EAX enabled.

Only played two game types so far:

DM - same old, same old, which means more of the same great UT DM we know and love.

ASSAULT - now this is more like it! Missed it in 2K3, and am ecstatic that it's back, and better than ever! This demo map puts UT-Train to shame! Love the multimedia mission briefing - great for n00bs! This map plays as well as the classic AS-Bridge, w/multiple objectives. Also love the objective arrow (a la Crazy Taxi).

In short, if you loved UT and hated 2K3 (esp. DM and ASSAULT), then 2K4 will be a must-buy! If you prefer the slow pace and tactical feel of ET/AA/BF/CoD, then move along - nothing to see here. But if you want frenetic, high-octane gameplay, 2K4 is the king of FPS! (Crystal Meth not included, as one other reader commented...)
