Yes, Zeschuk and Muzyka were harrassed ... by Riccitiello for blowing WAY TOO MUCH money on TOR. Thats why they had to leave. And not some dipshit bumbling around on the Internet.

And yes, the article is just horrible. It reeks of click-bait. Please, stay away. Or at least, if you want to read it, use an ad-blocker.

Gonna be a hell of a book...
Nah, just the usual shit. Its a big project, lots of people involved, demanding tasks, things are going rough, changes have to made, tough descisions have to be communicated. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Especially, when CIG now has the experience of a dozen and more Crytek employees. It makes sense that they continue developement of Star Marine. To me, Illfonic always was only a second choice.

Sort of but not quite... if you want to read up on it check Swen's blog (in chronological order from top to bottom):

- Thoughts after releasing Divinity:Original Sin and what comes next
- The halo effect
- Returning to Kickstarter
Thank you! The middle one seem to be very clear and transparent. In there i find a very good argument why returning to Kickstarter might be a better idea than not. But the last one is just PR bullshit.

It is a VERY sad state of affairs for the gaming industry if that piece of complete fucking shit wins Game of Show. There does not seem to be an end to the decline.
This is a show intended for publisher to present their new products. Do you really think the Gamescom has anything to to with what gamers want? Gamers are, were and will be only required background noise during these purely commercial shows.

EA paid lots of money for the SW license and they will make sure that this money is well invested. They simply bought these awards.

Really? I mean the US conquered by North Korea, a country that can't even feed it's own population? This is a complete joke as a concept!
The devs from Kaos Studios wanted China as adversary, the whole background story was constructed around that, but THQ insisted on NOT using China, because they were afraid of risking the emerging chinese market.

As a setting, CoD Ghosts was nice. A prolonged war between the USA and a south-american Federation. Considering all the hate, the USA is receiving from its former "backyard", combined with Brazils goal to become a global player, quite believable. Sadly, the game itself was shite, as always.

Its not THAT bad, but as a Thief game, it is an utter failure. So glad, that Deus Ex HR had a production team with a little bit more brain.

Or GoG is just blowing smoke up your ass. From what I've understood Windows 10 has less problems with backward compatibility than Windows 7. This from GoG comes across to me as nothing more than a "perception" campaign.
They still have look at every game, boot it up, play around for a bit. Just to make sure. And take notes of every new problem. Change store pages, change game FAQs. They are a small company. Even that is a strain on their workforce.

If the EU manages to do this that would be huge. What we currently have in the EU is 28 different geo regions with different pay-TV offerings. Instead of 1 EU wide pay-tv offering, that just airs in different languages, but aside that 1:1... that would actually make me want to get digital payTV
Its not perfect and there is much, MUCH to do ... but yeah, its a good start.

Why wouldn't they be doing a motion capture shoot? It's a singleplayer, story-driven campaign. I'd totally expect that just like I'd expect it out of any other campaign-driven game.
In fact ... this was one of the early stretch goals.

Is CIG any different from other AAA developers?
Yes. Yes they really are. Mainly because they have the budget but no publisher oversight. And while there's a substantial group of gamers who automatically believe that removing the suits from the equation will result in some kind of gaming utopia we're all seeing the results (or lack thereof).
But, to be fair ... CIG doesnt seem to be another Ion Storm, where Design Was Law and Eidos poured dozens of millions into the Dallas Glass Tower. But there still is the small probability that there is another Flagship or 38Studios debacle around the corner.

On the other hand ... they cant wait forever to release SQ42. 85 mio. are burned up quickly, considering the size of the project and the amount of people involved. SQ42 main task is to make money.

Stretch goals on RSI's website are irrelevant to the original goals stated on the KickStarter page.
These stretch goals are mentioned on the Kickstarter projekt page. So they are relevant.

And you obviously don't know a thing about games. Star Marine is a FPS (S as in Shooter, call of duty BS) it has nothing to do with the original game. First person trading, sure walking around your ship yes, but shooter NO! Stop trying to add extra words in there that don't exist.
Just effin finally read the Kickstarter page and the details of the stretch goals on the RSI website. 3.5 million => Boarding in First Person style with action and shooting.

While i agree with you on having more transparency and due diligence in crowdfunding projects, especially when reaching huge sums ... but THIS is getting boring, the popcorn is stale.
