This game is awesome, I have it on my PS2. I have not bothered to download the demo for PC yet, but I'm guessing that it has the same handling?
I cant think of one game besides Nascar 2003 that has anything close to realistic handling, but obviously Viper Racing fits that category. But as far as Rally games go, I definetly cant think of a game that does it better than CMR4.
I didn't realise that there was anything wrong with the release version of the game. Given the success of the Counterstrike mod, I always felt that, logically, this game was the next big thing. I personally stopped playing it online because there are no servers in NZ.
What were they thinking? Of course nobody WANTS to keep paying to play a game they have already paid for. Obviously multiplayer was optional in the case of this game, so it should have been free to play - if it was a multiplayer only title pay to play is more forgivable.
Well I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but HL2 will be riddled with bugs upon release. For one thing they are still patching the original game, and for another part of the development cycle would be to squash bugs - the fact that they are re-writing or altering code means that bugs will be present on release due to the spaghetti programming factor.
Valve has released only one original game. In case you missed that, I'll say it again ONE game. It was a great game when it was released.
The game (half-life) was released in 1998. It is now 2004 and it is STILL being patched. If you think Half-Life 2 is coming this year, you are kidding yourself. Remember it was rescheduled for April this year after being due the end of September 2003. That is a 7 month period.
Don't you think that Valve should be putting all their efforts into fixing HL2 problems, whatever they may be, instead of wasting time patching the original game and mods like CS?
Something else to realise is that Valve are under no financial pressure to release the game before Christmas 2004 as they are making an income from blocking CD-Keys with Vac and forcing people to purchase more copies of the original game via platinum packs.
