I loved the last one, but didn't they make enough money to actually do this on their own? I mean.. why are they kick starting again?

The fact that they already hit their funding goal probably serves as an answer.

So I guess they've lied about the game not being delayed.
March 24th is the new date
I don't get their mentality of confirm there is no delay and 4 days later they delay the game.
They didn't know 4 days ago the game will be pushed back?

Since the post from Rockstar was made a while before this story appeared here, the span between this announcement and the delay was more like two weeks.

Doesn't really alter your point, but I wanted to make sure that was clear.

apparently peyton's been playing with a torn left quad since december, which would explain the lack of ability to run. also those fluttering duck passes since he can't really drive his weight into his passes.

That would certainly help explain his trouble passing the ball yesterday. To explain his lack of running ability, he'd have to be suffering with a torn quad since high school.

(I'm going to take the PS, since the Xbox has been around less) PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1. Before that, I think we can count the SNES/Super Famicom/Megadrive as a gen, and then of course the NES before that.

and before that, the Atari 2600 and its brether like the Colecovision, Philips Videopac etc.

So even with all that, I still see the PS4 "just" as Gen 7?

From Wikipedia:

1st Gen: Magnavox Odyssey, Pong
2nd Gen: Fairchild Video Entertainment System, Atari 2600
3rd Gen: NES, Atari 7800, Master System
4th Gen: SEGA Genesis, Neo Geo, SNES
5th Gen: PlayStation, 3DO, N64, Jaguar
6th Gen: Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, GameCube
7th Gen: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii
8th Gen: You know.

And, Woo Packers!

I was watching it on delay, and trust me when I say I loathe the Cowboys, but that overturn on Dez Bryant's catch was god-awful terrible. What the fuck more does a receiver have to do before he's considered to have "made a football move???" He caught the ball, made two steps with it, goes down and only when it hits the ground does it come lose.

NFL Tard Ref "It was determined that ehhh... I dunno either. Overturned!"

Unbelievable. What a horseshit call.

I guess they were saying he never fully had control of the ball? If so seems a pretty tough call, specially to overturn the call on the field. Still, I guess what the refs giveth the refs can taketh away.

The problem with the rule just showed itself full face in the Den vs Ind game. Punt return, never had control, said he was "down by contact" when getting hit instantly.

F the rule. It is a terrible rule. It was a TD. If the Packers had done the exact same thing - they would have given it to them. The NFL hates teams like the Cowboys, Vikings, and a few others.

It's a receiver specific rule, a punt return is not a pass.

I was wondering about that myself after the Mike Carey came on to share his expertise as a former official in saying that the same rule applied to the punt. Then the call didn't go that way, and there was no follow-up on that at all. Weird.

Watching Mike on TV is painful, he looks like a deer in headlights, and it sounds like this extends to him being too uptight to even remember the rules properly.

Woot! Jan. 27th! Can not wait!

Since Cutter also sent this in, I'll post a general question to all of you. Would you like more coverage of stories like this? I tend to view it as non-news/clickbait material (since nothing really suggested it is delayed), but I don't want to spoil everone's fun.

With plots like these, I always end up wondering how they'd run the day to day operations of government if they won. Is there going to be a zombie hellbeast secretary of the interior? Will funding be secured for highway development?

Say what you want about zombie Mussolini, but the zombie trains ran on time.

What are the odds that Marla, if she were her own individual person and not a figment of Jack’s imagination, would choose to use the word’s “She’s infectious human waste!” to describe herself in the third person when we know that Jack and Tyler literally use infectious human waste to make soap. This is a deliberate connection the director was trying to make.

This is why Tyler is wearing rubber gloves when he has sex with Marla.

Wrong. They were using human fat, not infectious waste. Fat makes the best soap - tallow, lard, etc. And Durden was wearing only one glove symbolizing it was something very kinky.

The dumpster where they get the fat has a large sign that literally says "Infectious Waste."

This is all pre shaders so it was pretty nifty at the time, especially as a student project.

The lead dev is a senior software architect at Pixar today, so it worked out for him, too.

what should the headline be to be correct (i.e. what should be in place of "its")?

It's actually correct as written. No need for a (sic). As the professor pointed out, the possessive pronoun its refers to object life: If we remove the prepositional phrase on other worlds, we get:

We can detect life through its vibrations.

Oops, that is right now isn't it. I removed the offending [sic]. Maybe I should've just added another to signify my incorrect incorrection?

It's not the lack of apostrophe in its, it's how "its" does not agree with "worlds." This would fix it:

Researchers: We can detect life on other worlds through vibrations.

In most cases, you earn advertising fees for visitors that come to an Amazon site and place any qualifying items in a customer's Shopping Cart within 24 hours of their arrival at most Amazon sites.com or 30-days for MyHabit.com. However, this 24-hour window for most Amazon sites and 30-day window for MyHabit.com will end before it expires once the customer submits his order or reenters Amazon.com through a Link that is not your Special Link. Once the window is closed, you will not earn advertising fees on any subsequent purchases.

Seems to be restricted to the session that was opened via your banner link.
I'll give the .de version a try soonish. Or maybe someone already figured out whether that works?

That's interesting....let me know if a bar code scanner shows up. I didn't click through the banner when I bought that since I thought the cookie would still be valid.

Hmmm, I do not see any bar code scanners, so it seems the persistent cookie thing is not actually working as I thought. I'm sorry this is proving difficult to work with at times, but I certainly do appreaciate all the effort many of you are going to.
