On the one hand, I'm surprised they missed the 9/30 gold status yesterday...and considering that the pre-load status is now up to phase 5, I'm surprised that it's set for 11/26.

Then again, they're aiming for Christmas, so that's not surprising.

Glad that Rome: TW is getting some good reviews. Even though I'm not a fan of strategy games, I might pick this one up just because I enjoyed the demo.

Man, you guys are making me guilty for enjoying DOOM 3. Granted, I haven't been playing that many games this year (haven't touched Far Cry and Thief 3 yet), but I think the reason why I enjoyed DOOM 3 is because I wasn't able to play it till end of August. By then I've pretty much read everyone's impression of it (without the spoilers). With expectation much, much lowered, I got what I wanted.

I might do the same thing for HL2. After what happened to DX:IW, I swear to never let myself get carried away by hype ever again.

Oh well, I enjoyed DOOM 3, and that's what matters. Nothing I say will change your view, and nothing you say will change mine. Let's please move on.

Ever since they announced that this game would focus heavily on combat, I kind of wonder if it's a good thing. The PoP franchise is known for its puzzles (and animation). Yes, there's room for improvement on the combat in Sands of Time, but don't overdo it. I still want to run along wall, jump here and there, and do all those acrobatic stuff. Here's hoping for the best.

Don't EVER trust them with game preorders. Yes, I was one of those victims in the UT2k4 SE fiasco. To be honest, they have no experience in handling game preorders, and if they don't receive enough copies, they won't feel guilty cancelling your order.

For those of you who have played that game, how is it? I'm no real comic book fan, but I've read that the game is very well done. Worth picking it up anyway?

Are you referring to the one that was posted on IGN a couple of days ago? The guy who was playing it disgusted me. I guess we can blame his style of play instead of the game. However, it worries me that he's able to alert all the guards, shoot them point blank in the face with arrows, and get away with all this. That's bullshit.

The physics has, eh, certainly improved...BIG time.

And those jackasses will probably make future Bioware games Xbox exclusives. Better yet, they'll give us shitty ports.

Spare us the hype please. If you're confident enough in HL2, then there's no need to hype it. If it ends up being short of the "best first person experience ever," then you'll just look like an ass, that's all. No real harm done, right?

For people who are able to play the game with no problem, how's the game itself? I need some more opinions before I buy it.

So ppl say it brings back the Quake deja vu feeling. Is it true? Going on a killing rampage in a creepy environment? Huge kick-ass bosses? Game worth buying?
