What year is the movie based on? I mean, we have a blue sky, grass, razorwire, an HK rifle, standard military clothing... no futuristic stuff whatsoever.

There simply is no argument on this plane of existance that you can put forward that would make a clear-headed person with a logical thought process think for a second that Crytek or Ubisoft are "milking" Far Cry.

Epic Fantasy has allways reffered to just the setting, medieval type, with magic, orcs, world destroying conflicts, etc., not just with the 'epicness' of what happens.

Nice little shove? That lil' brat was assaulting someone. Sure, those flimsy little arms couldn't harm a cute fuzzy wuzzy bunny wabit, but she sure had the intent to harm that woman. Had she had in her possesion any sharp pointu objects, she would have used them without a thought.
You might think otherwise, but the kids brain/morality/understanding is screwed up bad. And it isn't genetic, or media induced or whatever, it's bad parenting, added with overprotection.
If there's one thing kids understand, it's physical pain (by this I mean whacking their behind a bit and such, not beating the everlasting crap out of them). It gets innefective after a while, but by then the kid should allready know how to behave. Extreme, evil, whatever, it works.

On that weird smiling girl... anyone that's read a few sexylosers strips knows exactly what's going on.

And on that little brat, she'd obviously allready had an encounter with the law before, or at least that's what the officer said. And seriously society pretty much sucks if a kid can go on a rampage like that and expect to only be discipline be useless parents. If I had tried anything like that at my old school, I'd have been backhanded so fast my mates would be wiping my snot of their faces.

Seems like every day some bloodsucking sleazy money-grubbing bastard lawyer pulls a patent out of his @ss and sues somebody. And lo and behold, to protect youreslf from that crap, you need, yes, you guessed it, a lawyer. These guys are like some bizare self-sustaining type of parasitic evil.

And you know what the worst thing of all this is? <i>I have a license to practice law</i>.

And as allways, they ignore parent negligence and go straight for the game makers. Oh, wait, it's a game, of course, ALL games are for kids, like, duh! Poor parents, the thought of not buying the latest hentai DVD straight from Japan for their kid, I mean, come on, it's cartoons!

Ok, then how about your own example? Jedi Knight 1 and 2 used an optional first person cam for lightsabers, and it worked.
Or how about Hexen 2?
Don't take me wrong, I prefer 3rd person for hack & slash, but the alternative should exist for those that don't.

"Jade Empire is an action RPG to be published first on Xbox by Microsoft in Q1 2005."

"First on Xbox"?

I'm hoping that actually meant something good, instead of 'before DA'.

Hoping...

In my case, I've allready bought the game, but it'll take a week or so to actually get here, so I am downloading it now. Now legally, well my country's special. You see, I could DL Doom3, make a hundred copies, and distribute it freely to passer-bys. Police might get involved to stop any riots (and secure a copy).

The music inustry in my country SOOO hates our copyright laws. As a law student, I hate them too, but for other reasons...

Source code =/= beta Jan 20, 2004, 05:32

This is pretty obvious, to most, but...
The source code is NOT the beta. In an extreme example, country A could sell an ICBM (a big bad missle that can carry nukes) to country B, and country B would only be able to use ths missle as a weapon. Or country B could use spies, steal the blueprints, and build it's own missles, or develop a system to counter these. This would give country B the abilty to build and sell a product that, or parts of it, that could ruin country A, and all countries that sold tecnollogy to country A.

Would someone care to tell me why this guy would have 9 computers, all supossedly in working condition? I mean, hell, I've got 4, but 9, plus an xbox? What's this guy's job?
