Don't let all this DOOM 3 hoopla distract us from- the Half-Life 2 going gold announcement this week

SOME BEST BUY STORES ARE SELLING THE GAME AT MIDNIGHT ON 12:01 AM TUESDAY- AND THE STREET DATE LISTED IN MY BEST BUY PAPER- CHICAGO IS AUGUST 3- TUESDAY- SO IS IT TRUE THE GAME IS SHIPPING ON MONDAY AND WE WILL MOST LIKELY GET IT MONDAY- NIGHT- TUESDAY LATEST- WHY DOES EB-GAMES HAVE THE SHIP DATE LISTED AS THE 3RD??? ERR I BETTER HAVE IT BY TUESDAY-NOT WEDNESDAY.

I dunno, I have still yet to see any screen shot that simply blows me away. Far Cry looks on par with Doom 3 if not better-.. I have high hopes that when i see the game in motion with my own eyes that will change. But I still think the Crytek engine is just as powerfull as DOOM 3's.

It's gonna take alot of impressing me to say DOOM 3 is the most graphically amazing game out there. FarCry looks alot better from what i seen of Doom 3 so far. Anyone else agree? Well i might be eating my words come next wednesday- but i haven't seen anything that WOWWWED!!! me yet...

P4 2.6 on a budget mobo, 1 GB RAM, RADEON 9800 Pro. << Blue

God I hope you would not 25 FPS- I have a P4 2.0 512 RAM and X800Pro- I'm hoping to get at least 30 with AA and AF at 2X. I wait to see how well the game IS before making a major upgrade. I'm personally holding out to 4GHZ before I upgrade

Just please no more- start from scratch and rework- multiplayer gameplay mechanics

You can preorder an 800xt at compusa for a ship date of AUG 15th. Both Nvidia and ATI are having problems getting this generation of cards produced in mass quantity- I think its a lack DDR 3 issue- since both companys need this type of memory for there cards- there is a supply and demand problem- I'm really not liking the way RAM prices are going- 512 megs of pc2100 ram costs like 100 bucks- I dont see the need for RAM any more- Why can't computers just use a portion of the harddrive as static RAM? Hard drives are cheaper then memory-

T-minus almost 1 week now -- I hope my Pentium 4 2GHZ- 512-ram and ATI X800 Pro can handle it. ) okay so i might not be getting as many as frames per second i might have gotten with a Nvidia card- but I cannot wait to Half-Life 2 is released and Nvidia card owners will be going as slow as turtles Anyways since DOOM 3 is a next generation engine- And x-box 2 a and gamecube next will have ati graphics chips in them= doesnt that mean we will see many games from the PC with the doom 3 engine- (Quake 4) ported over to them ? hahaha

I think its funny how Nvidia is the choice for the DOOM 3 engine- and its even funnier that xbox 2 and Gamecube will have ATI graphics- So U know Quake 4 is going to get ported to X-box 2 - with an ATI chip inside- so will all future DOOM 3 engine games that come out:) ahahha

I still think that EMAIL is a hint to when the game will go GOLD-- 16 days from now is the day DOOM 3 is SHIPPING- What a better way to steal thunder from Doom 3 then to make a - HALF-LIFE 2 goes gold announcement? Still it will take about 3 weeks from that announcemnt- so im betting on a LATE august- First week of september- I will be playing half-life 2.. hmm scary.. Nvidia is going to get a huge boost with the recent DOOM3 and Nvidia cards = killer framerates - ATI will benefit greatly if Half-LIfe 2 is indeed bug free in 16 days

First it was Geforce 3 then ATI gave ID tons of cash to make ATI the best graphics card choice for DOOM 3 - 9700 PRO- ATI leaked a Demo of Doom 3 - pissed ID off- Nvidia buys Carmack off with 10 whores and a donkey and tons of cash- Wala - Carmack purposly alters code in DOOM 3 engine to make DOOM 3 run faster on Nvidia cards- "The way its meant to be played" becomes a big part of Nvidia buying off developers to make there games run faster then the competitions(ATI). Hence texture corruption in BF:Vietnam- ATI cards only- Anyways so ATI freaks and ponders what it needs to do- So before E3 ATI goes to Valve and pays off Gabe with a ton of cash and the worlds biggest doughnut - and WALA- Half-Life 2 is born with a promise to be the number one choice for ATI cards- Just watch- Nvidia cards will probably not even work with Half-Life 2 while ATI cards will be flying faster than superman.. hehhe i love the pc industy

off subject but anyone know what is the current progress of QUAKE 4 ? Are we years away from it as it was with Doom 3?

I mean 4 years and finally BOOM!! But i have no idea what to expect from this game. There has been so much talk but little show on what places the game will take you. Anyone seen any movies of the game in multiplayer mode?

After 4 months the game has been out ATI has finally fixed the corrupt graphics in BF: vietman- wow! the game actually looks and plays good now

I was so excited about this game, but the game runs like crap on ATI cards so i will yet to play the game until the graphic-jerky frame-rate-problem is solved (If Ever) - I think it has something to do with Nvidia- and EA- I'm sure by patch 1.6 nvidia will tell EA to release the patch to make the game playable on ATI cards Vietnam needs more- better map design and fix some of the vehical issues.. I miss playing BF:1942 I guess im just too lazy to reinstall it. But it's true that everyone has abandoned the game? -- EA sould remake the game- better graphics :)- Anyways i been playing alot more Unreal 2004- Im suprised because how much i hated 2003 edition.. Doom 3 were are u????
