I'm not a lawyer. Do we get our mods back or not?
Rilcon wrote on Jun 23, 2017, 20:17:Agreed. I don't "get it", but clearly a lot of other people are enjoying it.
Neat, good for them.

I don't understand. They haven't even gone to court on appeal for the original judgement yet so how the hell can they be asking for an injunction already? I understand Zenimax's strategy here but I can't see FB budging on this, or even losing the appeal. So this is likely all sound and fury signifying nothing excepted wasted legal fees for Zenimax in the long run.

I'm not so sure it'll be quite that long, IIRC Retro Studios has been working on something we don't know about since they finished their last Donkey Kong. Regardless, I'm hoping they release the Prime Trilogy again (would be the third time, lol) to tide us over until then!

How long does a mission take in this game? The new campaign is 6 missions. At $40, they'd better be crazy long.

Is anyone looking foward to this? Maybe I'm just not the target audience.
HoSpanky wrote on May 27, 2017, 22:57:Eh, I don't know. You could very easily edit your inventory in Borderlands 2. In a purely PvE game, the only person you can cheat is yourself. With Destiny 2 however, the extra wrinkle is that it has PvP as well...Suppa7 wrote on May 27, 2017, 15:18:Creston wrote on May 27, 2017, 14:15:
What's the tradeoff for client-server, exactly? That it works great and everyone has a smooth match?
Oh wait, cost-benefit analysis. So you ARE trying to save money.
The whole thing is bullshit PR, anyone who knows how computers work know there is no reason not to give players control of servers. Quake and unreal had dedicated servers BUILT into the fucking game. But once game companies realized the average gamer is a fucking moron we got this shit of company controlled servers because the average gamer is grade A fucking tech illiterate.
Quake and Unreal had NO persistent data. Any game with persistent characters CAN'T let people run their own servers. The very first thing that would happen is there'd be "get all legendary gear in 3 seconds!" servers.

Penny Arcade Expo launches global expansion.Eh, I don't know. PAX as a show is at its limits - Gabe and Tycho certainly aren't looking to travel to yet more conventions. But this seems like a dilution of the brand. Like a Porsche-branded cell phone.

Looks like the franchise is $40 US, so guess they are saying $4. Wonder if it will be pulled on GOG too. There doesn't seem to be any info there atm.
