Flamethrower is absolutely ruthless, the screams of your victims do make you cringe a little, well placed shots are very satisfying, even when the game doesn't give you any kill confirmation, the fact that there is no armor and everything hurts is pretty cool on it's own, and lastly voice acting is superb which sets the immersion to another lvl.
Yep. I noticed this was the same group that made Insurgency. I remember that HL2 mod.

Pretty neat action puzzle game. I enjoyed it. Only Windows port. It needs Linux and Mac OS ports!

I will try Day of Infamy later. Finally, the y-axis bug was fixed.
Wow, what an impressive WWII FPS game for its free weekend. It reminded me of old games like Call of Duty, Medal in Honor, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Enemy Territory, etc. The game even ran OK on my ancient 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 desktop PC with its 6 GB of RAM & ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB of VRAM). A few maps got really choppy due to a memory leak. It also supports Linux and Mac OS! Multiplayer is annoying to install its special software to prevent cheaters though, but it will lets you install it later on.

Still got my Orange Box box sumwhar. It was awesome.

Installing Steam to run it sucked tho.
A decade? Dang. I remember buying from a local Best Buy store to pricematch. The gal refused at first too. Jerk.

Anyways, this Orange Box was worth it! I didn't think I would like Portal 1 too, but I was wrong. TF2 was OK. I got rid of the retail box and discs a few years ago at work though. I kept my account and key though.

Nothing in the mega cheap range, just quality reasonably priced components.

I have the Klipsh 2.1 setup, a little bright but they do put out the sound. Plus cheap, comfortable, great sounding headphones JVC HARX700 and a pair of HARX900. https://www.head-fi.org/
ProMedias were rad. I had its original 4.1 setup until its subwoofer sounded badly. I replaced them with Logitech Z-2300's 2.1
speakers that still work. They're decent, but not good as my previous Klipsch ProMedia.

I just want an updated remake of 'Sea Rogue'! Anyone ever play that? God, that would be so cool! And we could add in realistic ocean bottom wrecks like battleships, aircraft carriers, the Titanic, the Yamato, the Bismark! Maybe have a tripped-out mode where you wander into the Bermuda Triangle and get transported to some alien land a la 'Subnautica'? Or you run into the crashed wreckage of Flight 370 or Amelia Earhart's plane? So many possibilities...

I have never even heard of it. Did it have sharks at least?

The first webpage I ever created was for my UO fan page in 1996, back in a time when geocities existed and yahoo was the king of search engines. At the time being able to play an Ultima game online with hundreds/thousands of players was just the grandest idea.
Do you still remember its URL? If so, then type it in http://archive.org to reveal its copies.

Oh, and I feel old.

How is that Powerbook holding up? I still have an ancient dual processor G4 1GHz Quicksilver Power Mac that I got for ~$20 when my university was upgrading their labs. It moves quite well for its age. Uses a ton of power, but it can run Classic and I was always a fan of that case design, so I keep it just because.
It still works as of early 2017, but I rarely use it since it's SO old. I tried to install Linux on it, but it is slow and crashes a lot. Also, its internal wireless only does WEP. I am trying to find a good use for it.

Of all the "Launcher" type clients I've had to put up with, Battle.net is the LEAST annoying, IMHO.

Agreed. One particularly neat feature is that you can still install a blizzard game simply by copying the game's folder from one PC to another. Launching the game will then install B.net and you'll have to login to actually play the game, but it's still much easier than all the alternatives.
See, I really hate these launcer client requirements. I just want to launch the games without them. Bah! I am old school!

Change = 7.5%
Improvements = 3%
I tried it. It was a lot better than last year. I still suck at it, but it was fun. Haha. Too bad no Mac OS and Linux ports.

GamersNexus also did some benchmarks a while back and the Battle.net client caused significant performance issues when running on Ryzen. Of course, Ryzen has had lots of strange issues like that (early Ryzen chips have been RMA'd for those that didn't know) with its host of teething problems (mostly memory-related and mostly alleviated with BIOS updates) but nonetheless worth noting the first point in this post.
I don't have AMD anything. I still use ancient hardwares as shown in my http://zimage.com/~ant/antfarm/about/MyComputerStuff.txt (primary 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 box).

Has it changed and improved since last year's free weekend to revisit? It was decent, but I hated its battle.net thing.

They've tweaked some characters and added some maps, but the gameplay hasn't changed drastically.

Battle.net is Blizzard's online gaming platform. It is like Steam, but only for Blizzard games. What didn't you like about it? I mean, other than having to run another platform, I find it works decently and is not instructive.
Thanks. Its battle.net software is slow, bloated, annoying, buggy, asking too many different firewall allow requests, etc. when I used it last year for its Overwatch free weekend #1.

Has Overwatch changed and improved much since its last free weekend back in 11/19/2016 according to my http://aqfl.net/node/11973 blog?

Lots of her adjustments to achieve better balance, new maps, a couple new heros, and the Arcade with half a dozen game modes for quick matches.
Thanks.
