The USA spies on literally everyone on the planet... so you are saying Europe should blacklist Google, Apple, Facebook and Nvidia and Intel too? Because I am all for that.

To be honest I hope China completely and violently retaliates for this. This isn't a trade war, that is literally a declaration of war. Especially since the orange hamster hasn't produced a single proof.

One of the man reasons Firefox comes in a poor second to Chrome is they have a long history of breaking add-ins that people depend on, and they show no indication of ever putting add-in longevity as a priority.
Great example of a tech product where the direction is set to make the devs lives easyer, so much of their PR blather in recent years is all about streamlining development over actual product value to the consumer.

I think you mean the government needs to figure that out and regulate it. MS (FB, Google, etc.) would never do such a thing voluntarily.

So Microsoft finally figured out the pc is an open platform. Tying programs to a single source was never going to work.

Live services, live services, free to play, live services, live services, player engagement, live services, live services, live services, live services, live services.
It's very similar to Microsoft's original Xbone announcement. "TV TV TV TV TV TV TV SPORTS TV SPORTS TV TV TV TV TV CALL OF DUTY TV TV TV TV TV"
And not a fucking word about making great games.
Fuck you for what you have turned the game industry into, EA. Die in a fucking fire.

If it is still being maintained and does what it claims, that could be good to know. Their Patreon page is looking a little neglected...
Unfortunately Blackbird has not been updated in a long long time, and I think it's no longer maintained.

Well, I said I was going to wait until 2020, but I had a lazy weekend and installed Win 10.
Didn't make an account with Microsoft upon finishing the install, and quickly got Blackbird on there to neutralize Cortana & all the telemetry bullshit. So far so good.

Sounds like you got it figured out.
I am thinking of nuking my W7 install on my HP laptop and restoring it back to day one.
Do you have a site that lists all of the telemetry updates to avoid?
Or will all that shit be impossible since they went cumulative...
Tlemetry Updated list
The first few rounds of installing windows updates will be indidvidual updates, however at some point it will start going to cumulative, which you will have to uninstall that cumulative update once it does that.Either avoid the KBs listed or uninstall them prior to the first cumulative update.
Hope that helps.

Windows 7 has had telemetry for several years now. Same thing with Windows 8 if anyone is still using it.
CJ_Parker wrote on May 2, 2019, 17:56:Could the death of UWP apps spell the end for the Microsoft Store?
And I'm going to laugh my ass off if that happens and people lose all their games again like when those MS fucks shut down GFWL.
