Not sure why you folks expect Gamebryo to be on par with what? Current Cryengine / Unreal Engine?

It is what it is... the graphics are ok for what it is, and the modding knowledge shared throughout the other games will prove to make the game even better, as the previous games were improved by the modding community.

I'd rather have the quick turn around for mods than a completely new engine.

Uninstalling the offending system packages with DISM (for making an install image) or Install_WIM_Tweak (For an OS already installed) is the only way to be sure.

Completely eradicate Telemetry Defender One-drive Cortana and other things

Ripley Effect - AKA "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

Having bought an Xbox One quite literally days ago, I find the interface to be extremely confusing and the opposite of intuitive.

That's because the interface is metrosexual... whatever that's supposed to mean... which is confusing in and of itself!

At least this time, they made DLC PVE. The last DLC Imperial City was PVP only so they lost about 60% of their sales.

Technically this is their 3rd "mini expansion", and they rotate the content.

1st was Craglorn - Vetran area only, mostly group PvE
2nd was Imperial City - Any Level (scaled up to VR16), mostly PvP
3rd is Orsinium - Any level (scaled up to VR16), mostly solo PvE

Craglorn was back when the game was subscription based... so that's why it's not separate DLC like the other two.

I hope this is true.

But i can't see it... if it is true, I guess they figured their shit boxes were just top of line computers from 2007.

If it is true, I'm guessing it has something to do with gaming laptops being more viable than ever. A laptop with a 960M starts around $800 and will play most games @ 1080p easily. True AAA gaming on the go... not the IOS / Android Tablet crap.

If you want to turn off the snooping, you will have to BUY the Enterprise version.

1. AFAIK you can't "Buy" (retail-wise) the enterprise version. It's Volume Licensed Only. The only other way to get a copy would be an MSDN account.

2. Even with the Enterprise version locked down with policy, it still phones home when you click the start button (even with Cortana Disabled and Telemetry Policy set to completely OFF).

The only way to get rid of the Home Phoning is with DISM for taking the packages out of an image prior to OS install, or "Install_WIM_Tweak" to uninstall packages on an already installed OS.

Read this Forum Thread to figure out all the undesirable packages you can't uninstall normally: Completely eradicate Telemetry, Defender, One drive, Cortana (and other things).

I also posted an example with Install_wim_tweak here

The two methods I mentioned are the ONLY way to get rid of the phone home crap (among other bundled crap). These methods will work for the other versions (Pro, Home, Etc.) as well.

Also... a new build will be forced down on non LTS versions... meaning you will probably have to run the install_wim_tweak batch file you create, again, to again get rid of the crap.

Hating Microsoft is so passť.

Not when they keep giving us reasons over and over.

Windows ME
Windows Vista
Windows 8 / 8.1 Metro / Modern UI
Windows 10 difficult to remove Spyware (install_wim_tweak.exe is your friend)
The Forced Ribbon Interface in office
xBox politics over PC Gaming
Software as a service subscription

And most of all... the arrogance and long-time-to reversal when the market CLEARLY tells Microsoft they don't like something.

I dunno.... between the reveal footage and this alpha map for deathmatch... it looks pretty good to me.

I'll be really happy if it's not a craptastic console port and they actually put effort in the PC version.

I didn't think either the the episodes were that impressive, compared to HL2. Can they just pretend those didn't happen and move on? Or if they don't want to do it, or can't come up with anything, let someone else pitch the product for them.

I didn't think Half-Life 2 was all that impressive compared to HL1.

I've never played the episodes, either.

Uh huh. All you have to do in ABP is uncheck the box that says "Allow some non-intrusive advertising". I guess this is beyond a lot of people though.

True, however it is the principle of the situation.

Besides, ublock does more than just ads, and has more stock lists to choose from... Or at least a better way to access them.

Forget the BS "privacy utilities" out there. This is how you REALLY clean up Windows 10:

Completely eradicate Telemetry, Defender, One drive, Cortana (and other things).

Basically... uninstall packages that you can't normally uninstall.... with DISM for makeing an image or install_wim_tweak for current running OS.

Works great!

The only fact you need for not installing windows 10 is that microsoft isn't a charity. Everything you need to know about windows 10 can be derived from that statement.

Very true.

IT security professionals know that these 'features' are simply more hooks for surveillance, which will be used on everyone.

Also very true.

Krowen wrote on Aug 29, 2015, 23:29:
Don't ask me to care about people who can't be bothered to simply read some text either. They were already going to hop on instagram or facebook and share all of that info willingly. People have been idiots about privacy since the dawn of the internet and they will continue to be no matter what. If Edward Snowden's revelations couldn't make people care then nothing can.

Very true as well.

Look, I'm not saying don't install 10. I'm saying that those of us that care about our privacy have a ton of work to do to make sure the crap we don't want is off or blocked. The same goes for my phone. I don't Facebook, twitter, or social network on any level because I'm not willing to give up my privacy, nor do I want to "publish my life". I only post on a handful of forums (3.. and one I privately own among friends... no public access). I take extreme extra measures to make sure marketers can't track me (as best as I possibly can).

That said... what pisses me off about all this shit is that it's all "opt out" and even then, sometimes you can't opt out.

An OS is a NECESSITY. Facebook is not. I turn all the shit off in 10 and cortana still tries to phone home to MS as soon as I click the start menu icon... and I have to block it at a software or perimeter firewall level. There's something definitely wrong with that.
