Yeah. "New" leaked images from 4 years ago. Doubt they bear any resemblance to what the game looks like today. If this game is bad, that might do it for me as a gamer. I can't tell if there really is no more creativity in AAA games anymore, or if I'm just too jaded from years of playing. Bethesda has always been my favorite single player game maker ever since Morrowind. If I can't get into this, maybe it's time for golf.

Elden Ring is easily the best and worst game I've ever played.

The farther you get into the game, the more the balance is completely out of whack. Random monsters walking around are tougher than bosses, by FAR. Ultra Wide Screen is only doable via a mod, but when you mod it, it looks amazing. Since I modded that, I also modded automatic Rune Recovery, since that was easily the most infuriating mechanic in the game, when added in with insane difficulty swings and fatal damage if you fall 1cm too far. Also, Elden Ring has an extremely primitive quest system, basically unforgivable in 2022 for a AAA game. Luckily for Elden Ring, the combat is so damned good, and the rest of the game is so beautiful, I can overlook the bullshit quest system and most of the worst enemies, which I have been mostly exploiting with Bow and Spells, and some traps.

I have about 50 or so hours in the game, and with my meandering, near random exploration of the game, I think I'm around level 56? I need a working mod that increases resource harvesting, because I'm wasting too much time farming stuff for arrows.
