The pain, suffering and trauma? Tell that to Vader's victims for some much needed relativity. Or the young girls being married off to old, stinking fucks because of ancient reasons. Or the tons of kids being trafficked to their fate of rape / child pornography.

Maybe there should be a line drawn in the sand here. Maybe there should be a shift of focus and energy. O, but fie those that dare to say such things. Us monsters.

You don't decide what is traumatic for someone else. You're really arguing that these kinds of issues aren't worthy of attention because worse things are happening in the world right now? If some dude slapped a girls ass at the workplace, or at a company outing or something, then the person who did it should be fired. No second chances. Prolonged physical torture isn't a prerequisite to experiencing trauma.

The first 2 Max Payne games were amazing. I loved them. Relocating Max to some warm and colorful place in MP3 turned me off.

Like a colorful Diablo game... Or a rainbow colored Sin City movie.

Aye.

Aww I really liked MP3. There were some weird stylistic choices that I wasn't too fond of, but I thought it was fitting conclusion to Max's story. I liked the setting and was glad they tried something a little different than the first two games. MP2 is still the best though. One of my favorite games of all time.

Do we need another Alice game? I played his first one 20 years ago and liked it quite a bit, but I wasn't left wanting for more. Skipped the second one. I don't see this Alice thing being a big, successful franchise.

I know you really like to turn the dial up to 11 on any topic immediately, but are you saying, for example, you support doxxing 5 year olds who throw a tantrum in a grocery store?

I know people who legit support executing 5 year olds for shoplifting so it's not that far fetched for someone to supports doxing little kids.

Freedom Phone, FreedomOS, PatriApp.... sweet Jesus. I'd be lying if I said I'd never considered scamming MAGA idiots out of their money like this. It wouldn't be too difficult. Just take an existing product and repackage it in red, white, in blue. Then add "Freedom" and/or "Patriot" to the name of the product and you're golden. But in order to sell it I'd have to pretend to be one of them and I don't think I can stomach that. Ugh... the thought makes me gag. Not sure I could stoop that low.

You can choose from a variety of personas and customize them with a slew of detail options during character creation.

They only show a few, so I am not entirely buying that it will be a "slew", but if it is even a decent variety that is awesome in my book. I mean obviously Diablo doesn't need tons of character customization (considering prior sales), but it is always something that I thought would be a neat addition.

There once was a MMO called Asheron's Call by Microsoft. One of the big "selling points" in character creation was customizing your head. Once you put on all the gear it doesn't matter (same with most MMO's). So take Diablo's camera view... how much customization will matter to you, when you look like everyone else once ya get all the gear on?

I'm hoping they will have an option to toggle headgear visibility on or off. It is kind of cool seeing your character all decked out, in detail, at the character selection screen before you jump into a game. So a little bit of customization would be welcome, but it doesn't have to be extensive, not in this kind of game. Plus, you can transmogrify your gear to look like whatever you want (in D3 at least), so you won't necessarily look the same as everyone else even if you're using the same gear. Once you're in a game and smashing demons, it won't matter too much, but it is a welcome addition.

The artwork for this game looks amazing. I am already dreading the bitching from people complaining it's not 'dark' enough.

The artwork looks good. I don't think you'll see much bitching about the visuals this time around, but it's still early to tell what the final product will look like. What I'm more concerned about is if the writers from Diablo 3 are involved in any way with Diablo 4. The writing in Diablo 3 was absolutely, mind-bogglingly atrocious. The worst I've ever experienced in a AAA game. I burst out laughing multiple times during serious exchanges of dialogue. It was like terrible fan fiction. Bad writing only affects the campaign though, so even if the campaign is shit, I guess I can live with that as long as the endgame grind is good.

These types of 'games' are not my cup of tea at all, and if they were I would never admit it, but I did watch a playthrough of this on GameGrumps and they made it hilarious. That's the best way to experience this thing, I think. Through the lens of comedians.

Blue's review of Quake, 25 years ago, found in the archives:

"two second review of the two seconds I checked it out: the music works, and grunts with laser rifles are cool... later ;-)"

Quake had some nice gothic visuals with a touch of cosmic horror which was sadly missing from the second game. Quake II was still great though, and the mods that spawned from that game were pretty incredible. Good times.

Looks promising. Seems to play like a medieval Rimworld. There's a lot to love about Rimworld but it is ugly looking, and I prefer medieval over the weird sci-fi setting of Rimworld, though I'm probably in a minority there. This game, if done right, could replace Rimworld as my go to colony sim. Definitely keeping an eye on it as they progress through Early Access.

Made the mistake of buying Ark on PS4 while it was on sale, thinking it would run ok if I played it on a PS5. It didn't. It ran like garbage. Horrible zero-effort port. I hear the PC version isn't much better. Yea I can't see myself supporting these devs in the future.

Same here. Played a lot of DOOM and its clones back in the day, then dad brought home qtest1 and I was blown away. 3D fragging! We spent countless hours gibbing each other on LAN, then moving to online deathmatch when the full game came out. And then, mods started to appear, and it was glorious. Somewhere in all that mayhem, I discovered Blue's News.

Role locks is the dumbest thing ever. If you feel like you're losing because of your team composition, why not just leave and find a new match? Let people play how they want.

When I used to play Overwatch, the first thing I would do is mute my entire team before each match so I wouldn't have to listen to my teammates scream at each other about how they're playing the game wrong. Do people not play games to enjoy themselves? Why do people torture themselves playing a game that causes them so much aggravation? I never cared if I won or lost. I just did my best and had fun. Never felt the need to yell at anyone on my team. I guess it's probably my age. Most of the screamers sound like teenagers. I can only imagine what LoL or DOTA voice chat must be like.

Looks great but I would expect nothing less from a Far Cry game. They all look great. Hopefully the gameplay has evolved at least a little bit from the previous games. I really don't want another reskin of the same game they've made several times already, though I did enjoy them. Looks like there may be larger towns and a sizable city in the game, which would be a nice change of pace from the previous games, which mostly consisted of smaller outposts and villages scattered about. Keeping an eye on the game, but this might be the first Far Cry game since the first that isn't a day 1 purchase for me.

Was it those same guys that described it as space porn because there is... *gasp* side-butt? I remember that. Being a commentator on Fox News must be the easiest job in the world. Brie is a much better streamer than she is an actress. She was terrible as Captain America but she is somewhat likeable here.

The only film I saw her in was Room and she was great in that. Won and Oscar and deserved it I think. I'd prefer not to expose myself to her work as Captain Marvel, based on what others have said. So, based on my sample of 1, I'm gonna say she's a great actress

The biggest downside to the new Subnautica game for me is that there is no longer a big mystery... it's just... kinda boring. Where first game dropped you in with a looming reactor explosion and chance to explore the ship and the various parts of it, in this one you are just following a single breadcrumb line to the goal.

I think I would agree with you there. In the first game, I really enjoyed searching for the lifepod wrecks, finding audio logs scattered about, trying to piece together what happened to the people who were there before me, and eventually finding out why my ship crashed there in the first place. In Below Zero, the audio logs are mostly just scientist going about their day-to-day business. You get a story out of it, but it's much less compelling.
