What happens when you take a slightly longer stride and miss the slippy slidey bowl thing?

When an album cover is memorable it’s doing its job. Plenty of those instantly remind me of the albums they contain.

Half of the choices look like they’re just trying to be controversial. Slightly surprised Dark Side of the Moon wasn’t number one to get a few more clicks…

At its heart, "The Acolyte" is based on what, in the hands of actually competent writers and showrunners, could actually be a compelling Star Wars story. Yeah, I can't believe I'm saying that either.
Think that might be the most optimistic take on the show I’ve heard outside of my 10 year old

The appalling acting on top of everything else really makes it almost unwatchable. There was only one actor doing a good job, and they killed her off last week. If they’d cast Dafne Keen as the lead the show would have instantly been much better. Not good, but better.

At least Star Wars hasn’t sunk to Echo levels yet. Yet…

Let's make a kids movie about trade negotiations and political machinations!

With some of the worst dialogue and acting in the galaxy!

At the end we'll have a guy instantly flip from confronting the bad guy to literally murdering children, no character development necessary!

Then we'll burn him alive - on screen - for the kids!

Now that's pod racing!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

How long was the TV show in production? Roughly four years? With a bit of forethought, that probably would have been enough time to develop something approximating a game.

What ever happened, what ever your team, at least you’re not Atlanta.

Unless Atlanta is your team, in which case, my condolences.

So, imagine the Shire, but Gandalf never turns up to start the story. That’s… that’s… … why?

Character animation looks half finished too.

I dunno, email used to be more e-mail, but who can be bothered with the massive effort of typing a hyphen? (which, to be fair, is a pain on a lot of mobile devices)

probably my favorite 2d FPS (After Doom2).
But it was the multiple floor levels that blew me away, with spiral staircases and the like.

The kind of thing that seems ridiculously trivial these days, which tells me that going back and playing again would be a bad idea.

Had a lot of fun playing the originals on the PS3. Then EA did their usual thing of killing off the dev house behind it - but they’ve actually got some of the original developers involved in this new one. Could be promising….

…and they’ve decided to go free to play with microtransactions and loot boxes!

EA’s gotta EA.

So of course we're stuck with the Romo/Nanz team for the Super Bowl.

Could be worse. It could be CBS's Kevin Harlan yelling play-by-play at you.

Ah, the 1980s approach of advertising a game with just a title screen, nice.

I know the US has weirdly strong luddite tendencies, but self-checkouts?

They've been a pretty mainstream technology for over 15 years. If they're somehow difficult to use, something's wrong with the way they are being implemented.

Was hoping there was going to be some novel materials science to address the practical issues with space elevators, but no. Somehow €10K worth of no.

And no mention of how you'd deal with the terrorist threat to a structure that's so large you can't really defend it. Have they not watched Foundation?
