It's not a FPS, it's third person.

Man, I started to feel bad for not having UT... but since you're moving over the Source engine I'll wait.

This mod looks really nice... Especially the character design.

Do you have an ETA on the Source version? And does the game have Jet Packs?

No ETA as of yet, we're just starting to rev our engines for Source development. Sorry no jet packs hehe.

Ive only seen about half a dozen episodes of Ghost in the Shell:Stand alone complex... but I feel safe in saying "No! No! No!"
I'd call it a strictly below-average action series... Only the first episode really stood out in my mind.

I thought that at first too, but keep watching it was just getting warmed up during the the first half of the first season. I even like the SAC series more than the movies, lots more character development, stays closer to the feel of the comic book etc.

Hi I lead the Neotokyo team :).

New in this release are: 6 new maps (for a total of 9), 3 new weapons (for a total 13), 4 new music tracks, and numerous other enhancements. Of note - this is the last major release for UT2K4 as the team is moving on to the HL2 Source engine. If you haven't checked out this visceral anime stylized take on near future urban combat now is the time to do so.

Also - when ever Neotokyo gets news on Blues it makes me feel all warm inside as long time dedicated reader

HL2 Source/Beta ....

HL2 Source/Beta .... Oct 8, 2003, 20:53

There's a good bit of misinformation and pure speculation in this thread. Here's my attempt to corrected it: (mostly facts but a few of my opinons as well :P)

* The source code is 99% if not 100%. It compiles to the same files found in in the beta.

* The source code contains the half-life engine, halflife, counter strike, the Source engine, half-life2, team fortress 2, and various dev tools(ie hammer) and sdks(ie havok). The source extracts to ~160MB of mostly text files... if your a programmer think about that.

* The E3 levels are mostly 'smoke and mirrors' and not really made to be played. They were obviously made for E3.

* The party that leaked the source code is different from the party that leaked the beta. BUT they both originally came from the same group of hackers - the same hack into valve.

* The game is far from finished, look at the source, look at the levels in the beta.

* HL2 will still rock when it comes out. Most likely in 2004 some time.
