Wise words. Funcom has a very dubious reputation for broken, missing content and empty end-game launches. For any Funcom release, wait until the 6 month mark before looking into buying the game.
Age of Conan was a classic Funcom release, a major clusterfuck for the first 6 months, to end up a solid, good game there after.
I don't know what is going to kill your mouse faster, playing this game or Diablo III.

A friends trial offer, so soon after release? This game WILL go F2P within 6 months, if this keeps up. Then you can play your WoW with glow sticks for free, each month.
At the article "For the Internet, No More Innovation for the Fun of It", I am not surprised. ALL the good ideas are done, now people are just tyring to find ways to cash out!

Well that sucks. The law is based on precedence, thus if they have been convicted in Korea, then you can all but be assured this is going to go well for NC Soft, as they are going to throw the Korean victory in Bluehole's face.

Yea, looks like Bluehole knows they are going to have a rough time with the court case, and are trying to cash in now while they can... Or they are so incredibly arrogant, to think they can win.
Either way, I wouldn't gamble on this game. I would suck to spend a lot of money on pre-orders and game cards, only to have NC Soft pull the plug on your game, with no way to get your money back.
DON'T risk your money! I'd wait and see what happens with the court case. The pre-order virtual trinkets and mount are worth squat, if you can't play the game.

I am sooooo glad I got this game on the X-Box 360, so my wife and I play the game co-op.
It's just a shame such a long standing PC exclusive franchise, is shafted up the a-hole, just for the sake of a console release.

What $hits me, is that despite having been signed up for the Champions Online beta for frigging forever, I STILL have not gotten in.
The irony is, that I played CoH from release right up to issue 12, finally leaving after I could no longer take the boring "kill mob X to click on glowy Y" game play. Now I learn that if I kept my sub going a few more months I could have gotten in via this back door. PHUCK!!

Who's wagering that this game goes belly up before Open Beta? With the closure of Tabula Rasa, which this game is pretty much a clone of, and the crushing weight of WoW dominating the MMO market into 2009, I see this game as about a 60% certainly of Epic Failure next year.

What drugs are you ON??!! Have you not been reading the beta forums and the avalanche of issues people are reporting in the feedback pages. This game is a buggy mess, no way they can get it ready for May 20.

3D realms is a joke, I think this game is better served being an Urban Ledgend!
Seen the game, played my warez copy and found it to be a peice of $hit compaired to 2150.
To be honest 2160 is CRAP, Earth 2150:Lost Souls was far batter.
