I hope this game lasts longer than Auto Assault, which got it's plug pulled 12 months after release.
Then again, extending your closed beta for an extra year, so the hard-core who begged for a beta key, would burn out and there would be no one left to play on release... probably wasn't such a good idea.

FFS, I was ripping off Yahoo stock charts and news headlines back in 2000, for a stock market program, the company I was working for at the time was flogging off to customers at $6000 a pop... you don't see me walking away with 30 mil.
Trust me... he lucked out. If it was Google or Microsoft we was ripping headlines from, he would have been sued for 30 mil.

This Beta weekend makes me a sad panda!
They shut down the alpha servers for the weekend, to focus on beta, and as I'm in alpha, I can't play until after the weekend.
Yea, yea... I can download the beta client, but with my crappy rural 3G internet that would take me all weekend to do just that!

Well I wouldn't go so far and say the game is going to fail hard, as I've enjoyed my time in Alpha... well sort of, it gave me a diversion from GW2 for a while.
However, the game is very shallow, all about loot, shooting stuff, no crafting with very limited moding of weapons. If there were more sandbox features, then sure, I would give it more of a chance. However, I wouldn't be putting any money into this game until 6 months after release.

Yea, Creston hit the nail on the head. I'm in Alpha and I am VERY reluctant to pay for a pre-order. I would give this game at least 6 months minimum before I would seriously consider paying for it.

This game is blatiant Pay 2 Win rubbish, which rewards you for using your daddy's credit card, rather than developing any skill.

Unlike the lazy Blizzard devs, who slap on a new colour palette to an existing boss, and shovel it out the door as your next expansion, the GW2 guys have to work for your return business. Since it costs you nothing, to NOT play the game, you have little reason to return if you're burnt out.
