So sorry Blue. Take your time. We'll be here when you get back.

Us 'stupid' laymen know that if you take something without paying for it (when it has a sales price) - that's called stealing.

Actually, stealing is when you take something from somebody and that person no longer has it. If I take your car, then you no longer have that car. That's stealing. You can measure it by calculating the value of the car.

If I copy software you wrote, you still have the software. It was copyright infringement, a far different crime. True, the software has a sales price, like your car did. But will I just delete your software tomorrow, or produce 10 copies to give to my friends? Would I have bought it at the sales price if I couldn't copy it? You don't know. That's why the numbers on downloading are bullshit.

(BTW, I do plan on buying Doom 3.)

I used to have Bluesnews as my homepage until the pop-ups and flash ads started up. Then my browser took longer to load because it had to run all that crap on startup.

Sorry, Blue, I'd love to support the Bluesnews by loading simple graphics banners, but the CPU-heavy ads really bog my celeron-based web browser machine down (my gaming box is a P4, but if I'm sitting near it, I'm usually gaming, not reading web pages)

"Bella didn't have a tag or collar, says Karanastasis, because she feared the dog might snag the collar on a fence or tree branch in her back yard and be strangled."

Too stupid to own a dog, in my opinion. If the collar fell off, I might have some sympathy.

However, if the new owners are too mean to return the dog (especially with the offer to refund the adoption fee), then I wonder if the dog is really in a better place.

Another lurker checking in... been reading this site for many years. Hard to believe its pretty much a one-man show.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Take care,
