You know you've been playing Doom 3 too much when... you walk into your bedroom at night, reach out and press the air where your 'F' key would normally be, and don't understand why nothing happens

I admit that I'm baffled as to why the United States hasn't introduced an amendment to the Constitution prohibiting Derek Smart from having anything whatsoever to do with computer games.

>> I think Robert Heinlein was right, with the idea that the world would be a better place with the death of all lawyers.

I think it's morally reprehensible to suggest killing all lawyers, it's almost advocating a form of career-based genocide.

Really, we should just lock them all up for a few years and then force them to get real jobs

You made a little mistake:

> You seen those Russian Brides 4 U web links?

Russia is a capitalist country, I never saw Soviet Brides 4 Me

> Socialists don't even have a valid role model anymore.

What about Sweden? Since you guys 'decided' to give George Dubya, a real capitalist, a go, the US even has a hell of a lot more debt than them.

Greed isn't good. It's just a tagline to an 80's movie that showed how morally bankrupt a society can get when all anyone cares about is themselves.

Oh, and just generally, whatever happened to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty??? Far too many people here seem to be saying, "Oh, if the FBI raided him, he must be guilty!" ... What??? I wish law enforcement in my country was as omniscient as it is in the USA.

Edited 'cause I didn't read the mark-up rules properly (and I'm tired, and stuff).

You must be right; I mean after all, he would not post my link of how to make a Christmas tree angle ornament from a tampon!

That reminds me of when I worked at Johnson & Johnson in their Sydney office. In the marketing department (positioned dangerously close to the IT guys) they had a Christmas tree with tampons hanging from the branches instead of balls and an upturned tube of KY Jelly on the top instead of a star.

It was quite creative, really.

I'm a dedicated atheist, so I can't exactly pray or anything. I also don't deal with trolls of sub-mammalian intelligence, so I'm not gonna deal with that bloody idiot either.

Had a friend have a massive stroke a year ago. Initial prognosis and appearance were absolutely horrific. Over the last year, though, she's improved incredibly - far beyond her doctor's expectations. She's still not the girl she used to be, but she's alive and kicking, and she's still -her-, she's still in there.

The brain is the ultimate computer, it has incredible powers of self-repair. Don't be discouraged by initial appearances, it's the first 18 months that count most and improvement can be radical.

Blue, I hope for the best, and you and your family have got my sympathy and understanding. It's a bloody difficult time.

Take care mate.
