"But they don't give you any choice because they think that it's treason."

"So you had better do what you are told,
You better listen to your radio."

From what I've read, he was a very kind man with a good sense of humor. He must have had one-- it's ironic that a Jewish actor who was arrested by the SA and beaten by the SS would eventually achieve fame playing a Nazi. Maybe that was his revenge-- to portray them as fools. His website is very interesting:

tAE:
I have far more than enough work keeping me busy all day and at all hours of the night to not have to "scare-up" new sources of revenue. A large part of my job is convincing patients they don't have a disease that requires expensive treatment. The internet has turned a large part of the public into the equivalent of first year medical students-- too much knowledge without the experience or ability to put it into the proper context. The fact is, a large proportion of the patients I see most often have a psychological basis for their physical complaints. I can barely rule out one physical problem when, without a pause, they immediately shift gears from the now forgotten life threatening illness they had a short time ago to a new equally serious ailment. Their lives are ruled by anxiety about each little physical ailment.

No conjuring necessary on my part. And if you don't think these people are suffering from pathological levels of anxiety, stop by my office sometime.

Again, another long time reader, occasional news contributor, first time poster. I had to add my prayers and support for you during this traumatic time. My condolences on your grandmother's passing and wishes for a meaningful recovery for your mom. I'm a physician in my day job, and any questions you want to ask, feel free to contact me. I'll be happy to share any knowledge I can that might be of help to you. Best wishes go out to Mom Blue and to you.
