Some boneheaded suits with visions of sugarplums - and WoW like numbers of monthly subscribers - in their heads no doubt, because no one else was clamoring for one. Mebbe some kind of co-op/MP function, but not an MMO.
Exactly, all the fans asked for was Coop.

Does anyone know why, mmog publishers are obsessed with $15 US a month? Publishers are willing to let mmogs fail, rather than for instance charge $10 US a month.

Didn't find this in time to send it in but looks like GamersGate is having a best of 2014 sale, until Jan 12th.

eRe4s3r, in a way your making the case against yourself. By pointing out they all belong to the same organization yet they have one of the, if not the best list of GOTY awards I've seen so far. So your saying hey look, it must be corrupt cause they are all in a club, yet the club by action has done the best work.

I do agree, there could be a category about Indie only, yet they do cover many indies in the list.

I'd surprised if they actually sell any mafia II games at retail. It's not like 2k to sell a 5 year old game, ridiculously for $40 US.

That's more of a reflection of the flood of indie games on the market and the world economy being in the tank, not Steam's lack of popularity.

Yeah, to bad dayz doesn't do anything productive such as adding a Coop switch to servers. Instead it's nothing but a gankfest.

Fion, you might want to read some tips on what character to start with or what to build first, it can be a little overwhelming.

It's based on the time you connect to the Steam Community. That means if there's an outage, and there frequently is, that it resets all the times. Valve really needs to improve the reliability of the Steam Community - I can't tell you how many times I've been kicked out of games that depend on it for multiplayer.
Thanks appreciate the info, yeah bet that does suck for multiplayer.

Thought about buying XIII, since it's on sale atm for $8 US. Then I read a review, mentioning it's not really open world or interactive, with basically no side quests at all. Apparently it's just a very linear story and a lot of combat. Hahaha_no

Yeah, nothing from Steam and I think this is the worst holiday Steam sale I've ever seen. How can they possibly get all the publishers and developers sales, with basically 12 sales a day.

Sure there are 6k+ titles on sale, but from all accounts shopping/turnout is very low this year. So if some dev or pub realizes their game isn't selling at 25% off, how the hell are going to do anything about it. The Flash sales must all be frozen and set in stone before the sale begins.

End of year sale on Origin. Save up to 95% (Battlefield 3 for $0.99).

Finally a BF game that is selling at the correct price point....
Lmao

Naturally they still haven't put ME2 dlc (or BioWare Points) on sale (even on Amazon), after 4 freaking years! What a bunch of jackbasses!

Keep hoping to see Tron 2 on sale for 75% off, since it was made in 2003. However it just made it to Steam recently, so disney might try to hold off at 50% for about a year.

I wouldn't be so picky about getting some of these games on Steam at 75% off, if I didn't own them from release. Well the world economy is still shitty too, which effects everyone like it or not.

I just saw Never Alone, it does look pretty amazing. Just the fact it's about Inuit (if I'm reading it correctly) legends and cultures peaks my interest. Not to mention all the freaking awards it seems to be getting.

Everyone's probably way ahead of me on this, This War of Mine is very good gritty war story and resource management game. It's based on the Bosnian war a few years ago and on sale atm.
In November 2014, pirated copies of the game were made available online. The developer's response was to post a number of working serial numbers in comments, encouraging downloaders to share them with friends, and buy the game if their financial situation allowed.

Amazon has a sale going on. They have the Skyrim's Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC at 75% off instead of Steam's 50% off, which makes it a little cheaper to buy than buy the Legendary Edition if you're in the same situation as I am and only need these two or one of them.
Only had to wait 2 or 3 years, lost track, thanks for the heads up, jimnms! Thanks

I made sure, the Blue's hotline numbers were in the address bar! Mwahaha

Too bad there isn't the spread sheet list of Amazon sale titles from Reddit this year. Well at least I haven't seen one yet.
