I defend this game non stop, but I have to agree this you guys, who the hell care what it's called? I stopped playing a few weeks ago to wait for 1.07 to finish off the last few paragon levels, and them I'm out until more content comes. Honestly, not much else left to do at this point for me. I got my $ worth no doubt, but I have a stack 1.5 feet tall of console titles I have been neglecting and Ni no Kuni is calling my name :-) Oh, and also unloaded my Activision stock I've had for years at 13.5 because of the earning reports.

Reminds me of the time my girls were "dressing up daddy" and putting marker all over my face and putting nice girl stuff on me. My J. Witness neighbor came a knocking and I gleefully opened my door to a very shocked and bewildered look on her face. Even then I forgot what I looked like. She told me she could tell me the "good news" later.

Sorry to hear about the animal situation. That's an extremely bad situation for the pets and humans.

I jog in my neighborhood and cannot tell you the number of times animals unleashed or escaped have chased/nipped/bitten me and it just sucks. One involved the animal being put down after a serious bite to my leg :-( I felt awful.

Another time I was on the other end of the issue when our 2 labs got out and found a pet goat down the street and attacked it :-(

I know I may be the only Blues reader that likes this game (still) and enjoy about an hour of it an evening.(paragon 78)

After I hit 100, if there is no new content, I will finally be finished until an xpac hits. Many of you would like to make believe the game is dead and in fact, want it to die because of feeling butthurt or broken promises, etc. The game is still kickin it, I never have issues getting groups together for Ubers or selling items and quite honestly, much of the crowd left over is great and like minded and do not act like the world OWES them. To each his/her own :-)

a) increase the $1 transaction fee rate via the RMAH, as more and more people will migrate there. even naysayers.

b) Blizzard is desperate seeing how over 85% of purchased copies stopped playing altogether as of 4 weeks ago.

c) appease the angry mob that is the entire BNET forum, while Blizzard gets to work right away on a much needed story re-write via Necromancer expansion, which for faith restoration, should be a free gift from Blizzard. If I were Mike, I wouldn't think twice about this.

but most of all, I am curious to do some epic damage with my 2H Barb, that already possesses a godly damage stat, now it's going up to 700% on rend, lol, reinstalling is worth it just to see that.

Why do you think more folks will migrate towards the RMAH? Sounds like more drops and better loot with negate this...

Do you have a valid source for B or just spouting off BS?

Also, the Bnet forum is seriously the WORST gaming community I have ever witnessed in my gaming life.

As far as the 2H go, I could be wrong but I was under the impression that only new drops will have the new stats, not current ones.

Agreed.

Also, this part of the article cracked me up:

"Dana, a divorced mother of three in Massachusetts, assumed her sons would seek out pornography and thought it was normal for her 9-year-old to want to look at pictures of naked women. But when he was 13, he asked why women liked to be choked"

How are pre-orders taken into account for big titles like D3? They aren't counted until release of the title as sales or? I read yesterday that D3 was the most preordered game EVAH on amazon so it made me curious when those numbers actually counted.

Could this have to do with the hacking downtime and them basically rebuilding the environment?

As long as the time zone change with a move doesn't affect my ability to see my news by 10am each morning, I approve.:-)

Edit: Wow, my account is from 2003. And I'm sure I read for a long time before that. Its kind of funny to think that I was probably using netscape to open blues, voodooextreme, etc.

I enjoyed the first one, but for $5.00, at a time when I was itching for a loot dropping dungeon crawler. If I'm bored with D3 by then, I wont hesitate to pick up, but no need to pre-order.

That's strange. I always see the opposite in my world. Mcafee, symtantec, sophos, avg etc. All my IT peers agree that MSE is the less intrusive of the necessary evils.

Surely with in being in browser and all on their back end, the days of waiting for them to fix a server browser issue with a client patch are gone. in theory, they should be able to roll out fixes much faster now.
If they do, is still in the air..

I guess it boils down to a level of commitment. I am dedicated to the BF series. For preordering through Origin we get the expansion pack for free.
http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield3/blog/bf3-pre-order

As far as the impressions from one solitary fan, if you have a spare hour, check out: (I started at what is probably the key question)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=UAfQNX14rCY#t=2957s

You mention that we preoder something that had bad word of mouth.. Says who? You? Other negative players that aren't fans? Lol. Makes no sense. Like every big title, it's not for everyone. Great! I cannot speak for other preorder customers, but I suspect it does not have a "bad word of mouth" to us.

People preorder for many reasons:

*To make sure they get a copy
*Support a franchise/developer
*Pay for something ahead of time while funds are available
*Secure bonuses

For me, the last 3 are key and are the reasons I am excited for next week.

Post beta impressions

After reading this lengthy post from the geforce lan, I am glad I am still a preorder customer.

Also notes from the community leaders at Dice commenting on how so many testers were not used to a real beta.

I agree Dice and EA should have come out and been up front about this beta and what they were really testing. How about a "we know about this list of problems in this code version you are all playing". That would have done wonders for the fanbase. This beta was a test of their backend system and battlelog/origin etc.

I am excited as hell about this next week and although I have never experienced a smooth launch with Dice titles, it'll be game on for me!

My only REAL fear is that they dont have control bindings sorted out at launch... THAT will make me rage. Not being able to configure controls the way I want them in beta made me sad.

Edit: My 16 nephew stopped over when I was playing the beta on the PC and was blown away with it compared to his xbox version.... Started asking me how much would it costs to build a PC that could run it etc. And he's a MAJOR COD junkie on the consoles.

I have purchased each one so far, and my list of games in steam is now just out of control... :-)

And Braid, GFY. I love you and cannot figure out a couple of your levels and I refuse to cheat.

Been playing a lot the last few days. Biggest gripe for me is the lack of controls or ability to rebind the mouse. I do not play anything with wasd and its like torture trying to play this way for me.

I actually think the battlelog is quite nice and easy to use. I am not sure why there are so many complaints about it. I hit quick connect and am in a game in under 30 seconds. Now, trying to get into caspian is a different story all together.

It does confuse me why they say they are concentrating on PC's but wont even let me change the controls... Hey, I get it, priorities. I love my consoles as well for certain games, but this series has always been about customization, and the PC wins hand over fists in this cateogry.

It runs smooth for me, and as soon as the controls are worked out, ill wupp some butt!
