Ubisoft buys Bungie, first game of new partnership to be titled Destiny's Creed.

That would be awesome! I doubt you meant this in a positive light but the most recent assasin's creed game (odyssey) is an awesome open world rpg. (plays like Black Flag)

An open world RPG following the assassin's creed model with the Destiny theme would be fucking awesome.

Can we get an open world RPG ala Red Dead 2, Skyrim, etc? That's what I thought they were making with Destiny... Is that on the table now?

Just play Red Dead Redemption 2. That's what I'll be doing! I even have the day off from work! I'm going to spend all day installing that game! I got doritos, soda, I'll prob have to stop at some point for taco bell. I'll probably hit 75% before lunch!

This looks promising. I really hope we someday see an xcom quality Turn based game. A clone even! It's already pretty close to the imperial guard as xcom is now but if they'd go all the way and build in a full warhammer 40k campaign...I'd be so happy!

The closest they've come is Sanctus Reach which is a pretty good interpretation of the table top game. But it's obviously a low budget game, I just want someone to put some money behind a big turn based game.

For now space hulk will have to do. Whoever did Blood Bowl 2 would be my first choice to make a larger turned based 40k game. Blood Bowl 2 was very impressive.

So I downloaded this to give it a try and I was very … underwhelmed...

...I'm thinking it'll be at least another 2-3 years of development before it actually starts to feel like a game worth paying for.

Thank you for posting this. I was wondering what a new comer thinks of all this during the free weekends. That's what it looks like to someone who's been watching this from the start as well.

I think Sea of thieves and Star Citizen are very similar games right now.

In my opinion both have been released, are extremely disappointing as is, and need a lot more content to be entertaining to play for more than a few hours.

I think sea of thieves actually gets it's core gameplay loop right, you can technically fight/operate/repair your ships in game as expected. There are only two of them but that looks like they got the core gameplay loop right.

Star Citizen seems to have gone a different route and has a ton of ships, more locations to explore but their core gameplay loop isn't there.

It will be interesting to watch development going forward on both as they are extremely similar games in my opinion with similar problems/challenges.

Was there any news on why this started out at 29.99? Hitting 1 million sales seems like a big deal, I don't remember much about the original and didn't know they were making a sequel...

And how come Warhammer keeps getting kick ass games but Warhammer 40k keeps missing the mark? Can we start asking companies that put out good Warhammer games to follow up with a 40k add on or something?

Getting really fucking jealous over here.

FFS, even blood bowl is more fun than most 40k games I've tried lately.

Tried to go see if pre-ordering would offer access into Sea of Theives... ended up spending like 10 min getting my microsoft/windows account figured out.

It's 59.99, launches March 18, 2018 and pre-ordering doesn't offer access to the beta. (you might still get in but who knows)

I'll wait and see how it plays at launch, Pirates of the Burning sea looked awesome prior to launch and in development. Just like Star Citizen...then you go play it... or you go play star citizen.

Based on the youtuber law review of the case (updated yesterday) it didn't sound good for Crytek.

I haven't watched the newest video but if you want a decent review of things that's a good resource.

10 mb/s is barely enough for one person in my opinion. I have an 8mb/s connection for 5 people and assuming I'm the only one using it I'm ok with it. I'd upgrade to more if I could but as soon as someone else starts using it you don't get the top quality stuff for tv and video anymore.

Luckily 3 of the 5 in my house are so young they don't use much bandwidth yet but they will soon enough.

There needs to be at least 20mb/s starting and everyone should be able to pay move and bump it up to 100mb/s.

They should quit fucking around and just say broadband is 100mb/s. You can sell slower services but everything going forward needs to support up to 100mb/s.

The model 3 is supposed to be 36,200 - 44,000. Assuming they can shave the price down to 30k even a pickup truck is reasonable at that price.

The real question becomes how long does the savings take to pay off? A gas engine pickup new can be half that price, 15k new, so how long does it take to start saving?

I'm surprised they'd call anything they present "gameplay".

Nothing they've released as a "game" is able to deliver what they show in these videos.

Case in point, 3.0 is now "released".

This is what they show in the presentation:

This is what you get in game:

First time going into 3.0 since release.

Spawned in Olisar, no issues. Brought up mobi glass, clicked first icon, saw missions, chose a cargo mission to cella? Accepted Mission, closed mobiglass.

Walked down to ship selection area, chose the Cutlass black. Headed over to pressure door to get to ship. Can't interact with door button. Can press F, get cursor, but no response when clicking on door button. If I move the cursor to the left of the button it turns brighter yellow like I'm getting closer to it but can never press button.

Wait for another player to come press the button. Works for him. (I assume this is because I used mobiglass earlier) Once inside airlock I can't press button to cycle airlock. Other player eventually presses it, and I'm finally on my way to ship.

Open rear ramp on cutlass without issue. Close it without issue. Go to pilot seat and get in. Open up mobiglass again, select mission planet, line is red so I select another point in between. close mobi glass. Use F to make ship flight ready. Take off, game stutters a bit, have to press N twice but eventually I'm on my way to the waypoint.

Point ship at cryo station, first point on my way to mission planet, press and hold B, hear something about a storm? Hyperdrive starts and then ship rocks violently as I start into hyperspace. Drop out before intended travel point. Hyperspace storm? Not clear what happened. Try again, hold B, ship goes into hyperdrive but again shakes violently like something is wrong. Drops out at correct location this time.

Press f1 to bring up mobiglass. no response. can' control ship anymore, there is a mouse cursor like i'm in the mobiglass menu but it looks like i'm just flying the ship. holding F gives me the cursor to interact with the ship but moving the mouse has no effect. It appears the game put me into mobiglass mode but didn't bring up the mobiglass. I tried a variety of commands and could not interact with the ship or game in any way.

Esc brings up the game menu, I exit. That's enough for one day.

Mobiglass still seems to be a big problem.

That second part is my report on the feedback forum. I'm gonna go play world of tanks.

Fired up this game again, haven't played in a long time. Tons of fun. Progress is still painfully slow but the matches are fun.

You can buy premium ammo and other equipment with in game credits as well, it costs a few more creds but I usually take 2-3 premium rounds into each match because I suck and I usually die before I get that many shots off... :(.

Heh, this should be good.

Didn't Crytek essentially go bankrupt a few years back? A year back, good god that was only a year ago that we learned people weren't getting paid.

I didn't know they survived. From what I remember I thought CIG offered them money to essentially buy the engine for use without condition. This lawsuit seems to only talk about the original contract and nothing about CIG buying cryengine outright.

Maybe they fucked up the paperwork, who knows. Seems more likely a legal team is trying to squeeze any money out of crytek they can. Hey guys I found a signed contract with a company that is still making a game! With our engine!!!! And they've breached the contract! *lawyers cheering*

Well, thanks angry mob of gamers. I'm sure that the 2-years of DLC seasons they had planned will be massively gimped now. Good work. WE DID IT!

I'm guessing it already was... Tough to convince a big company to dump tons of money into the games extra content when buying loot boxes is what they really care about.

More likely you'd see a lot more extra content in the loot boxes themselves. Oh this months DLC....uh night time maps! Next month? Eh....sunrise maps!

(Kashyyk at night is fucking awesome though...)

Why is this rocket surgery? Just make a game like Witcher 3 set in the SW universe where you're a Jedi traveling around doing Jedi shit.

Or you could make it about the sith and just make it like shadow of war! Chopping heads off, stabbing everyone, making heads explode, you know, sith stuff.

Glad to see that they are making good progress

That's an absurd statement. They're making absolutely shit progress. They're promising progress then delivering a sliver of it late and pretending everything else can be done later.

In fact this has been the status quo for a long time. The Arena module was supposed to have a lot more to it, I think there was supposed to be a fight / boarding on the Idris? Ran out of time I guess, onto the FPS module.

FPS module was supposed to deliver a AAA FPS experience...eh, it's a FPS, that's enough, onto the PTU!

PTU is supposed to be functioning with multiple systems, multiple stations / planets to land on, ...eh one is prob good enough, what's next!

SQ42 I'm sure, at this rate we're goign to get 1 mission and they'll get to the rest later...

They bought three $15k packages? Sounds pretty far fetched...

We sidelined many other great games and commercial opportunities waiting for Star Citizen, but in the end we can't wait any longer, and a new generation is joining also who have absolutely no interest.

This sounds like bullshit. What kind of guild pools money to buy games? What was the plan back in 2012? Hey guys, let's put all our future games money into this game and just wait... What have you been doing for the past 5 years!? Don't you just buy the game as yourself then you play it with your guild? Who pools money to buy games in large guilds?

This is probably bullshit.
