I'm disappointed to see that the industry is going console. All they need to do is make the game online so that pirated copies cannot be used. Not much of a problem with pirated MMO's. Sure some people are not going to connect to play, but this is the reality.

This is good to hear. I just built a new gaming rig that is very similar for $750. Without overclocking I get 7782 in the futuremark 3D mark vantage. I'm glad some developers are looking at this seriously.

I can't wait to see the news stories when the Fundamentalist's kids want to play the game.

Just another game type that I will enjoy even less than the current TF2. The Fortress Forever mod is truer to the TF legacy and where I'll be.

I would expect to see comments such as found in this thread on MMORPG.com...which has turned into a complete sophomoric flame site. What is so great about a game company failing? Look how many in this thread act so euphoric about a company that contributes to our hobby going down the tubes. Critisizm of their action is warranted, but to gloat over this news? That is more pathetic than Flagship's failure. Also something that is becoming more prevalent on Blue's News...the newest generation of gamers seem to be spoiled, crass and shallow.

Actually the game runs quite well on modest systems. So your theory doesn't wash. I played this weekend in the PVP beta. It was an unoptimized client. I have an AMD 64 3000 (OCed) 2 GB ram, and a NVidia 7950, the games default settings for my system ran it at between 40 and 60 FPS. The game though on medium was beautiful. I even upped the ground textures and didn't even lose many fps. Anyone saying this game will only run on uber systems is a liar.

The game is great now. Never really did suck if you could run it. I just returned with some friends after i took a 6 month break. The improvements are vast. We're having a lot of fun.

They almost have the big bugs all fixed. That can't be said of most releases. Hellgate is a fun game and actually has no game breaking bugs as it is now.
As to the folk who want to whine about comparisons to Diablo... well guess what, in the world one can compare anything they want too. No other company is trying to capture some of the great things that were in Diablo.
Very few games offer as much playability as HG. Once the platform has been really polished it will be a great platform for many inovative game options.

The ads are total unobtrusive. They are worn and dirty and look like a natural part of the underground. If you play aany of the poplular online games your going to have to run PB. If you want to play on ranked and legit servers that is. What reason would they have to dig for shit on your computer anyway? Imagine the outcry and losss of business if they did get caught makinglists of all the pirated movies, porn and other crap thats on your pc, let alone financial data and the like. Put away the tinfoil hats people. With Bush in office dont you think there are real conspiracies to guard against?
BTW HGL has been more fun than any online game I've played in quite awhile. Fast action, good looking, extremely customizable gear. I'll be getting it.

If you've read anything about AOC, you'd know the combat is not like other MMORPGs. It's not click and forget. You literally swing your weapon. Whatever stands in it's path gets hit. This also lets you target specific parts on the mob. Parties also have combat formations.

What they dont say is that it's a repack of a korean game. It's pretty, but boring. The grind is bad and the drops are weak. Everyone looks the same because there is a lack of equipment. Bad language from every NPC for no good reason. Also , I know the game is beta... but it's a crash fest. I hope they can remake it, but they have a long way to go.

These Xtian themed games are playing on people that are already proven to be dense. It seems the bad guys in this game are everyone who are not Xtian. These are people that follow a book with unicorns, giants, nephelim, and cocktrices.

Mythology is such crap, and to authenticate it using the same book that is in question is even more ridiculous.

Stephen Henry Roberts (1901-71) once said: “I contend that we are both (all) atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

I've been playing this game for almost two weeks and can say that it fills the void Oblivion failed to. It's challenging, and fun. The voice acting is nice and I can play it any way I want. Properly patched the game will give you no major problems.

Some of us have more important priorities and responsibilities than to spend thousands on a cutting edge computer. Maybe you should spend some time away from your computer and tune up your social skills. We dont all live in the same world as you.
