Good to see that war games are starting to use some Hollywood talent now too...I'm really hoping that the motion capture stuff they did for the graphics is improved over the Enter the Matrix style stuff...either way this is a better type of game for that...

The first one was great...the second one...eh not as great...but all of em together still make for a good idea. Adding a demo would be great, but I like the idea of more media getting involved.

ok...so this is pretty cool news...if this is what Atari is doing with the extra two months till release then I'm going to stop complaining about it. So two consoles a PC version AND portable...not bad at all IMHO

Great preview of Driv3r. It pretty much confirms what I thought, that the game is gonna be really good...as long as they can get all the bugs out and finish it up. I'm glad they decided to push the release date more than a week this time to something a whole lot more realistic. And I'm guessing that since the reviews got an older build, that the devs are well on the way to polishing up the game right now. Hope more info comes down the pipeline soon.

First of all, there are peds in the game...check out some of the trailers on the site (www.driv3r.com) and you'll see them... second of all this game has some of the best physics of any action/driving game including GTA...the screens of the driving footage and crashes are phenonmenal...third, i agree with IrieCat, this is a game...so in any general sense, all games are sort of pointless... but then again the general point of a game is to enjoy it and there's nothing pointless about that.

I've been seeing alot of stuff about the on-foot action in the game being somewhat unpolished too. That doesn't bother me so much since this is from the "Driver" series, which should by all accounts entail more "driving". running around and playing with guns and beating up bikini clad pedestrians is fun and all, but i want good cars and good driving...i think this'll have it. I haven't decided yet if i'm getting this for the PS2 or PC. Did you see the first installment of the short movie for it yet?

yeah...does have a Gone in 60 seconds feel to it doesn't it? I always thought that would make for a good game scenario... and i concur about the intersection scene...i love it when movies do stuff like that...totally calm and silent, pedestrians strolling by...cop cars flying through the air...good stuff!! time for the next episode

ok...the first episode of the short film is now up on the game website....so frikkin cool!! It looks like it's going to have a "Gone in 60 seconds" sort of vibe to it...the guy playing the main character...Tanner...even sort of looked like Nick Cage in one scene.and the last scene....brilliant!!

speaking of movies of the genre...the first episode of the short film that was made for the game is coming out today and i'm waiting for a website update so i can download it. definitely interested to see if any of the voice talent is actually going to be in the film version...

Yeah, this game looks to be less about stunt driving than GTA, but from what i saw of the game clips there seems to be alot of pretty cool tricks you can do. I'm really psyched to see how this new physics engine they're talking about works out. the crash screenshots look incredible. As far as the movies go, I really liked the BMW shorts and i'm guessing they're not going to use the same guy in the Ridley Scott films, that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense really. I've heard tell that there's going to be a preview/trailer for the films posted on the main site soon.

check out the avault article that was just posted. the gameplay is going to be pretty cool, and since it's not even in beta yet the graphics are probably still getting worked up.

This is the first I've heard of this part of the game. weapons and armor that gain experience with your character. that's a pretty great idea for personalizing your character in an MMORPG. I like it!

Just saw this preview/interview over at adrenaline vault. Good info on the customizable items and "intelligent" weapons. pretty good idea actually.

Very cool preview. I'm impressed with the level of detail they're putting into all of the crafting systems... it's going to be pretty great to actually have the ability to craft any weapon yourself. the special combat moves sound pretty savvy as well.

Can't count this one out. It's going to be the truest to pen and paper D&D of any CRPG and frankly those of us who remember playing Greyhawk back in the day are happy to see a classic module return. And from what I've seen of the screenshots and the game movies, the graphics are a step above what they did for Arcanum. More animated environments and more well done sprites. Since it's based off the Arcanum engines I only expected Troika to improve on it! And it's definitely going to blow Lionheart out of the water.

Unreal engine in an RPG?! about time... this game should be blazing. So now I get the feel of an FPS with the storyline of an RPG. Pretty sweet!

If you want realism there's every other medieval fantasy game out there to try. It's a little cartoony, but it's got style from what I've seen. And it should be packed full of fun with 50+ quests to do!

Seems like another good contender among the new crop of online games. Didn't realize they had so many dev journals posted already. The idea of subjugated races and playing dragons sounds incredibley cool. good that it's offering more than just your average kill for skill plan.
