Ya by the time i got to the download thread 14,986 people had downloaded the source from JUST that location. WOW. There is no turning back on the code. Its time for damage control.

Yup, that was the only way we played it too. Just not inovative enough to stand alone as a single-player must have. Either is Halo because everyone already played the single player.
Who cares when HL2 ships, What is important is when its avail for download from steam.

I couldn't agree more. Co-op is extremely important and frankly the only think my roomates and I look for in games. Ofcourse we get the huge titles, co-op or not, hl2, doom3, etc. But, for a port of a 2 year old game and then take out features, is just plain stupid. Buy a 40$ game to play 8 on 8 team games. Yes, fun, but HALO was a great single player game, everyone wants to play it again with a friend, not alone again. I sure hope people stop buying this crap so the crap stops coming out because people will eat it.
Everytime Valve says ATI runs this "better", NVIDIA makes a statement to match it. I love this epic battle. Will there be a winner? Now where is that price drop due to competition!
