It's not like people are forced to use google. And if someone's company relies so much on a freaking search engine, then they need to reconsider their marketing tactics.

Edit: On/Off article
My Seagate Barracuda is a 600,000-hour part (as measured by its mean-time-between-failures rating). That's about 69 years, always on. Thats utter BS. Most modern hard drives crap out after 5 years.

This makes me sick. What the fuck is wrong with Americans? Why can't we just accept people for who they are? Why can't we have an even playing field?

It's not that same sex marriages are morally wrong, it's that gay people are morally wrong (with the exception for hot lesbians :D). I percieve it as straight people are fed up with all the crap that gay people give us (AIDS, listening to annoying lisps, etc.) so banning gay marriage is a form of punishment for being homo.

Flame on.

OFP vs. GR Apr 9, 2004, 01:21

I promised myself that I wasn't going to get into this, but oh well.

Operation Flashpoint and Ghost Recon are both decent infantry sim games, but GR seems more thought out and streamlined than OFP. The main problem, IMO, with Flashpoint is that it's (brace yourselve) too non-linear. There are so many ways to attempt to beat a given mission that its often difficult to play the game the way that it was designed to be played (to some degree). Other problems with the game include the craptacular squad/platoon controls, the strange UI, the robotic voice acting, and running around for an hour trying to find your objective only to be shot by some randomly placed enemy and having to restart the mission all over again because your only allowed one save.

The multiplayer for both games suck. Since both aren't client/server, there is usually a waiting period until the next game begins. Due to the massive uncoordination and gigantic maps, the usual wait for an OFP game is around half an hour. GR's is anywhere from 5-20 minutes.

I can go on and on about this, but it's late and I'm tired.
The end.

Microsoft used to do this (redirect DNS errors to one of their own pages) but they at least had an option to disable the redirect.

Verisign also did this back in september of '03, but ICANN suspended their redirect service.

If precautions are not taken the pins on the motherboard can easily be bent. If one pin gets bent or broken, it can prompt the whole motherboard to become useless.

This is heck of a lot better than an expensive processor becoming useless via bent pins.

Am I the only one that thinks team arena is awesome? It adds so much more gameplay and variables to quake3. The only downside to it was the multiplayer because nobody friggen gave it a chance

Making a Quake 2 remix is a pretty crappy decision. There are quite a few souped up Quake 2 engines already out there, such Quake 2 evolved and Quake 2 Max. And how many times can you play quake 2 before it becomes boring?

Edit: Then again, a new quake 2 would probably be much more entertaining than that cheesy "Quest" rpg.

Possible solutions:

1. Get the latest version of macromedia flash player if you don't have it.
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

2. Do a windows update.

3. Windows has a history of not liking mobo upgrades. A lot of problems can arise if you didn't reinstall windows after upgrading your mobo.

$3,950,000 for a missile silo? Sounds like a rip off. They usually go for a couple hundred thousand.
