I don't get it.

At that website all I can see is a few pictures of this attractive girl posing with her scruffy-looking father, who could use a good haircut and a shave. Where's John?

Seriously, while ID obviously hasn't been the same since he left, he didn't exactly go off to do great things.

I probably spent more time playing Quake 1 than any other game in my life, and I just don't know who to thank for it being the killer game that it was, because I don't think Carmack would know a good game if one sat on him...

I'd be more excited if they hadn't butchered COOP and single player support as much as they did... sigh.

Agree with #3.

Pity it ain't the real AFL, as in, Aussie Rules football.

There is only one AFL, and it exists down under

"If they won't pay $5 or $10 bucks a month for a FP sub what makes anyone think they're interested in paying $50 for the title?"

This is funny. So now everyone who doesn't have a FP subscription is too tight to buy games atall now?

Couldn't you have come up with something better than this??

"What it comes down to for people like you is, you want everything for free. When you can't have it, you either throw a fit or find a way to steal it. It's not my fault you are a cheap ass"

It's a game demo, for crying out loud. Demo is short for demonstration. And a demonstration isn't something people are supposed to pay for.

So people complain about this and all of a sudden they're cheap asses who want everything for free? You're way off mate.

If it's only a week, then why do they do it in the first place? That door swings both ways, you know

Communistic strike? This is as democratic as it gets. Standing up for what you believe in and all that. It couldn't be more democratic.

As for me, there's no way in hell I'm paying to have a demo early. It's a demo for crying out loud, when some vacuum cleaner salesman shows up at your door he doesn't charge you a few bucks if you ask him to show you how the damn thing works.

It's just typical though really, money makes the world go round and all that. Everyone's trying to make a buck. Of course if this keeps up in 10 years or so we'll be paying to take a look at screenshots :\

I'm with Blue and the other sites 100% on this.

Either way you look at it we're pretty much fucked.

For this great return policy we're paying full price for what might actually be second hand software. I don't care if it's been used for 7 days or less, if I'm not the first person to open that box, it's second hand.

But still, with the industry the way it is and almost everything being junk, we need that return policy. Games cost upwards of $100 Aussie sometimes, and there's absolutely no fucking way I'm going to spend that sort of cash if I can't take it back if I don't like it. Not on your life, buddy.

I can see both sides, but I'd rather keep the return policy...
