Also, since I dont recall this being brought up yet at least in this funked up thread.
It seems like ATI will have moderate performance across several of thier cards with Doom 3, at least until they can get some time with the game to tune thier drivers.
Shouldnt someone be mentioning the peformance of the other NVidia cards except the newest 6800 series.
Basicly 6800 was built around Doom 3 cause the older cards couldnt perform.
Im more worried about all the NVidia customers out there that CANT afford the newest card, why isnt NVidia saying anything about them or helping them?
I truly hope they are not sol, NVidia has screwed up so much in the past 1 to 2 years, at least teh last 2 chipsets, anyway.
Thats why I went to ATI after 5 or 6 NVidia cards, I was just tired of being screwed.
I dont like the way ATI handles thier drivers at all, ie the idea they actually spend time trying to fix crapy games like Tomb Raider instead of fixing OpenGL but after being a lied to and cheated by NVidia, I can stand a little frustration.
Its like would you want to be involved with/date and spend money on someone who lies and cheats you or would you rather be with someone who is just frustrating What are you taking about? ATI lies as much as Nvidia. There is no honesty in either of those companies. You just buy the hardware for your gaming, all they care about is your money :P. My 9800XT is great buy (last year). But now Nvidia is starting to take the lead again. No big loss for me I get whatever is best for my $500. At the time when I bought a 9800 XT it was the best for my $500. Now the tides have turned and it's ATI who is losing the benchmark wars. Lets not foget ATIs new policy of trusting ATI on their trilinearing filtering optimization that has no impact in gaming performance. That's why we won't allow the user to disable them to see for themselfs

Trust me they lost a sale right there

3Dc is probably going to meet the same fate as trueform. A few games will support it then it's R.I.P.
