I grew up on a ranch and have MANY memories of castrating the sheep and cattle and putting rubber bands the size of cheerios around their testicles and my grandfather and father telling me, "Don't worry, it probably looks worse than it feels." Uh huh yah right. I've heard of people using the same technique on dogs tails. My wife and I adopted a boxer who had his tail cut but his ears left natural and although I do prefer the aesthetics of the cut tail, I would never crop the ears of any of my dogs. Besides the obvious pain this must cause, i've read studies that say dogs with no tails and cropped ears appear to have more agressive encounters with other dogs because of the apparent inability to communicate their intentions with other animals. hmmmm maybe... Oh yah I loved ColoradoHoudini's comment about the "elite people killing skills". My boxer looks mean and deadly as hell but could only kill you with copious amounts of flatulence.

I'm pretty sure that once certain components have reached the safe operation limits, there has to be some bit of jargon to describe this that escapes me now, those components have to be replaced. Basically, most of that aircraft is worth only scrap value. All components are rated to a number of hours. Then they're garbage. On a piece like the Blue Angel air show jet, i'm sure that EVERY piece has been stressed to within very small margins of recommended replacement. I'm not a professional, I just recall hearing a discussion at an air show about this very subject. But hey, one step closer to your own personal airforce.

Try Lavasoft ad-aware 6. It's a free download at the website and works nicely.

first of all im not trying to persuade anyone to follow me. Second, I was trying to point out the tendency of moog to vacillate between standpoints for the sake of being argumentative. I said, "Go back and read his posts." Lastly, DONE

People, please don't encourage Moog. Just act as if he doesn't exist. If you think he might post something of some interest, go back and read some of his earlier posts. If he's not insulting someone's intelligence, he's posting as though everyone has been waiting for his definitive answer. He used to frustrate me because of his know-it-all attitude. Now he just makes me laugh. Damn, where did this guy receive his education? I would, no should have to go there. This guy probably has a degree in trivia (history), no friends, has never been in a real fight and feels that if he asserts himself on a board he'll gain friends, self-confidence, and the attention that daddy never showed. *tear* He posts numbers and percentages that he probably fabricates, hoping no one has the time or will to find out. He has seemingly first-hand knowledge of occurences all over the world, when he has probably NEVER been there and sure as hell hasn't experienced war or said acts personally. Most of his statements are LUDICROUS and argumentative. He'll tell you about how much he loves America and Americans then will contradict himself by saying how dumb the people are and how he is here to educate all. He doesn't even have the integrity to stick to his comments. For someone who doesn't even live in the US, he sure does spend a lot of time studying it. Or maybe he just cuts and pastes from other fanatical websites. He is hyper-critical of everyone who questions him, and his myopic nature keeps him from acknowledging his own mistakes. The guy traipses around this website like we're all school children ready for a lesson. I advise everyone that reads his posts to go back and see what I mean. I usually get along with most people, and I could probably agree with SOME of the statements he makes. It's all in the delivery and that is where he loses me. Fuck moog. To quote Penn & Teller; "he's bullshit." From now on i'm just going to ignore his verbal masturbation and I'll never pay attention to him again.

Jeez dude for a smoked out stoner, you sure sound aggressive. Where to begin... First of all, the funny part is I didn't know you were canadian. It must have been that funny smell. Since you like cheap shots, you misspelled Sacramento, where I live. Hmmm. Does your superb canadian weed also make you invincible? An open invitation to, I believe, ANY US soldier? WOW You must be as deadly as you are witty. And since you're more intelligent than all Americans, how were Americans "lied" into this war? Some would say America was provoked. Didn't you hear from your dealer about that whole 9/11 thing? A war against the poor? You ever see examples of Saddam's wealth? Here's another question for you; Do you drive? Ride the bus? Or is your scooter getting you around these days? You are right on the US reliance on Petroleum. I guess that's the price we pay for being the most advanced, wealthiest nation in the world. Don't get me wrong about canada. I've been several times. Beautiful place. It's just the massive amount of complaining, second-guessing and criticizing that most canadians retch our way. Don't get me wrong on Bush either. I didn't vote for him. I think he's a Chump too. And don't forget that he wasn't officially elected. Unlike you, I don't think I portray myself as an omniscient, hyper-intellectual sophist. My main gripe is with the anti-American sentiment being expressed here by people like you. Being anti-war doesn't have to be anti-American soldier. Oh yeah, don't try to make a point against me by making it seem like I insulted Blue. I never did. So, why don't you find an American flag to roll up some of your great canadian ganja, make another hilarious post and smirk yourself into oblivion.

p.s I think you meant "...screen door on a submarine." Right?

For some reason Halsy and Moog make my ass itch. Hmmm... maybe it's that "I missed the plane to Iraq to be a human shield because I organized an anti-war rally at the community college" feeling I get from them. That and NOTHING is more annoying than a canadian with a higher than thou attitude toward anything American. I personally think that Moog and Halsy should get together and make love, not bombs... It's your right to an opinion, whatever country you live in, but make sure you have the balls to give that opinion, in person, to whomever you're criticizing. And I don't think that either of those tools could say ANYTHING to those pilots, or ANY US soldier, about what a terrible, baby killing, war criminal they are. So Halsy stay up there in your beautiful, pristine, and pretentious Northern AMERICAN country and lob cheap, impetuous, "hey everyone, don't I sound intelligent and original?!" comments and i'll wait for Blue to put an anti-America filter on the board.

""That was no firefight,

that was a couple a guys in millions of dollars of futuristic wartime hardware annihilating three human beings. I mean the first guy was completely removed from the face of the Earth in an instant. If they had a potential "weapon" the guns of the chopper could have easily annihilated that rather than the human beings. That thing tore through the truck like it was paper and turned the first victim into confetti. Come to think of it, the only thing they destroyed was the people and not the weopons. They shot through a truck just to get the guy. Their intent was to kill and not to defend themselves. ""

I'm going to unwisely assume that video came from the gun camera of a US helicopter and that those soldiers(?) on the ground were hostile. But, those soldiers(?) on the ground in that video might have killed one, or more than one US soldier. It could have been me or my friends. Let's not pretend that those guys got lost out there and had no direct involvement in killing US troops. Kill or be killed on the battefield would be my way of thinking if I were there. Yes, that video does point out the enormous difference in technology, tactics, and maybe doctrine. But would you pick a fight with the biggest kid on the block and not expect to get your ass kicked?
I always considered myself almost unfairly cold toward anyone who might have deserved it. I've never killed anyone and don't plan on it. But we're all adults here and whether or not you would have done things differently out there, you're where you are today because of those men that DID make the call.

Actually Zoolander changed my life. As a child, I attended the Derek Zoolander School For Children Who Want To Read Good. My Parole Officer says I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't.

Soooooo... what are my options if I want to continue playing CS? Search for 1.5 servers and quit playing at my favorite IP's 'cause they switched to 1.6? Waste my time and HD space to DL Steam and come right back here to post complaints 'cause it doesn't work? Or Follow Fourpak's advice and write a letter/make a complaint but still have to do one of the above? HL and CS have been my favorite games for a long time and it looks like that might not last much longer. I hope Valve and those responsible pay attention to who really matters, the long-time and faithful gamers, and do the right thing.
