I hate to say it but Everquest's better days are behind it. The best expansion was Shadows of Luclin but once Planes of Power came out, that expansion pretty much started to kill everquest and the way it was designed. Once POP redesigned the EXP system and put out all that uber loot nobody felt the need to go to any of the other expansions and it made the game way too easy thus content go old very quickly not just for the hard-core player but for the average players too. Now SOE has to release a new expansion every 6 months just to keep people happy. Most of the expnaions arn't very good and they don't really add anything new just the same stuff with new graphics.

If you like a hair dryer in your computer then use the 6800. It also takes up two slots at the back of the computer because of its large cooling system.

Should be fine, unless you have a junk PSU. Of course, if you have a junk PSU, anything could happen. Note that the GT will use less power than the Ultra as well.

A good quality 350W power supply with a sufficient 12V rail pull can support the 6800 Ultra standard clocks of 400/550.

128 is fine, and more than fine when you get your 256MB card, as odds are it will never really use it. In reality, you do NOT want it using it. Some people turn it way down, which is bad, because it is better to waste some memory and call the data from it than having to spin the hard drive, but with that much mem or VC, it is trivial.

Oh ok I see. So when I get my 6800 256 I should just leave the 128 as is and not change it?

Well I took the 3Dmark test again and got a few highter 3dmarks (about 5) and cpu marks (about 20).

200 Is correct, P4 mother boards use something called “quad pumped” or something like that.

Instead of multiplying the bus speed by two like in DDR memory, you multiply it by four.
400MHZ FSB = 100, 533MHZ FSB=133, 800MHZ FSB=200.

That is not too bad, though WinXP Pro by default only runs 19-22. That is "some" bloat, but not too much. Does any of the process show A LOT of CPU usage? Perhaps one is overly nasty. “System Idle Process” should be high.

Yeash system Idle Process is high but that about it.

Also does anyone know waht "AGP Aperture" is for? In my Bios it lets me select 4mb up to 256 mb. I have it set for 128mb because that is what my Geforce ti4600 is. When I get my 256mb 6800 GT should I change it to 256mb in my bios?

Also, how many process do you have running? That can greatly effect CPU performance in genearl as well asbenchmarks. To get process, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and hit Process Tab, at the bottom it will say “ Process:” What is that number?

One, Make sure you have the latest motherboard drivers installed.
Also, make sure it is configured properly in the BIOS, everything is at optimal settings.

I did that a few weeks ago and not much changed.

Though, you memory is lacking in speed according to your link

That might be it but I did get the fastest possible Memory that my MB would support.

The 3dmark stuff says my FSB is only 200 when it should be 800 due to my MB and CPU combo.

Its good to get at least pc-3200 Ram right now of at least 1gig. The company really doesn't matter. I got the cheapest myself and it has worked great.

Likewise, do not forget to take into account the various steppings of the P4.

I just am kind of wondering since I see other people with a p4 3 gig who get a higher cpu score. I just got my p4 3giger last month brand new from newegg.com. I'm just wondering what I could do to boost that number a tad.

I find it odd that my cpu marks are so low. I get lower marks even when compared to an identical system almost and I can't figure out why my cpu marks are so low.

Really? Hmm with my geforce ti4600 I only get about 13 fps on that demo.
