although i haven't subscribed for a few months now this game is awesome.
1-59 was the best gaming experience i've ever had.
60 was a totally new game.
from there onwards the perception of the game was totally different.
I miss the part of the game where you did not know what was happening, where you were going and what it was expecting you, which is why leveling from 1-59 was so great.
there was no peer pressure, no competition, no fear of being left out. I was just exploring, slowly leveling and enjoying everything. I remember that after a month of playing, i had still only discovered a fraction of the world and that didn't bothered me at all.
but not these days. Today's a race to get to lvl 70 or 80 because that's where the gratification is. Noone wants to be in between because you know there's no items and you know that you are only valuable as the items you wear, and, well, the fun is at the last level.
Which is why i'd welcome an expansion every year. I have to say i enjoyed northrend much more than outland. They were all, however, great experiences. Northrend however had a different ambiance, a bit colder which maybe is what attracted me in the first place. Howling Fjord was great.
I'd love to see another game match the quality of this one so i could revive those 1-59 moments. They were simply the best.
People complain these days that everything is so easy. Dungeons and raids are easy. Getting items are easy. It's true but i think that's a necessity, but at the same time is what causes the game to burn you quickly.
The old PVP was great. AV was awesome. Maybe this new isle of quest brings back those moments.
I will resub after the patch is out and have a bit of fun again. But then it will certainly fade out. But then a new patch is out and im back again
