World of Warcraft will continue to reign for many years to come.

Most developers just don't get it. They want to innovate what doesn't need to be innovated. Humans need colorful, accessible, open, alternative realities to satisfy psychological needs.

This game is dark, clunky and not very accessible (computer specs)

damn that guy in the world of warcraft suit just beat me.

Me and my lawyer are wrappping a suit against them because of the inability to acquire the legendary shadowmourne UNLESS i grind endlessly and join a group of other 24 muppets! I demand free epic legendaries!

come on people, there is no such thing as originality. Whatever you do comes from something else. Take warcraft for instance and how it rips warhammer, according to many.

I did see the screenshots and they do look like wow but why is that? It's the colorful settings and cartoonish style, the interface. So what.. world of warcraft is no innocent either. Take.. say... the dances. I saw a movie on youtube and it matched the dance of each character to somewhere else (movies and music clips).

Don't think blizzard can't do shit here. A game, specially an MMO, is not just visuals. The game may resemble wow visually, but i doubt it's as polished as wow. Many have tried and will keep to do so but wow has a secret formula that will take years before anyone even understands what it is. Lucky for me, i do, but just don't have the so-called '1 billion' to make it

Damn.. i've been looking for the past week at bluesnews header and trying to figure what was different. I knew something was different, just didn't know what exactly was it.

So i noticed today google ads on the right side and was certain they weren't there in the past. So in a moment of enlightenment it hit me.. UGO's logo was no more on the top (and it did take me a few minutes to remember that it was UGO). All i can say is: good for you!

I eventually read the story on the departure and while i sympathize with your concerns regarding pop-ups, they are slowly making a comeback (well.. have been for some time now).

Either way, I hope the change proves useful and pays off. I know google pays good but maybe you should also hook up with an affiliate scheme (gog.com for example).

thanks for all the news posted, i have the feeling it doesn't pay like it used to and you probably do it because you love doing it. I don't post much, but there was way more activity in the past (and a lot more drama coincidentally). Everything evolves and this medium is no different. You need to cater new audiences!

supply and demand? what the fuck? LOL

you toon, go join LMN8R in your pink-colored world and the next time you enter a store maybe you won't see games with lame prices. No need to thank those who are fighting for your rights

and man, you sure must be smart, assuming im 13 or 14 because of a nickname. Then i take it you too are a toon, if you can grasp the concept - http://toon.urbanup.com/1523188

Hahahah. Man, you know I.. hahahaha!

Like they owe you shit. Dictators? hahaha!

yes DICTATORS. They dictate the market. The put an irresponsible price tag and choke you on it. They owe me something yes. They owe me respect. And these mother fuckers only respect their money with no consideration whatsoever for the customer.

you're in no place to seek revenge for shit here.

you may see it as revenge, i see it as activism. You know what happens when no one cares? We get world wars. Go back you your pink-colored world and let us fight for your rights. If you think you have no rights then you are one sorry little peon in this game.

If you torrent the game, then by your very actions, you consider the game to have some sort of value, that it's worth your time to play it, and are therefore a hypocritical douchebag whose statistics Activision will only use to validate their decisions.

i was gonna buy the game when the price went down. $60 for a game with no extra-value added is nuts. Now with this whole dedicated server fiasco, fuck you IW and Activision.

I feel so hurt by these dictators that my only way to hurt them BACK is to torrent. Petitions are turned into internet jokes, forum posts are left ignored. They put their heads beneath the ground and hope for release day.

Hope this turns out as a textbook case on how to not fuck up your customers.

and unless we act, they will keep doing this. ACT!

cancel your pre-order
spread the word
torrent the game, use it and delete it like a cheap whore.

devs like to QQ about how piracy is rampant on the PC. Well live with it. I bet even you (devs) have unpaid software running on your machines.

If the pc business was so bad why do companies keep making games for it? Oh i know.. because there's still money in it? People buy good games. Make good games, make money. Make bad games, lose money.

what the fuck is going on with this industry?

false promises, price hikes, these money-mongering pieces-of-walking-green-acidic-human-excrement are toying with us. These business fucks are experimenting with new money-making formulas when the real formula is ENTERTAINMENT, EXPERIENCE, INNOVATION.

GRIEF, ANGER AND UNSATISFACTION DO NOT ADD UP.

one by one, these corporations are dictating the market, hampering creativity and freedom.

die you fucks

although i haven't subscribed for a few months now this game is awesome.

1-59 was the best gaming experience i've ever had.
60 was a totally new game.
from there onwards the perception of the game was totally different.

I miss the part of the game where you did not know what was happening, where you were going and what it was expecting you, which is why leveling from 1-59 was so great.

there was no peer pressure, no competition, no fear of being left out. I was just exploring, slowly leveling and enjoying everything. I remember that after a month of playing, i had still only discovered a fraction of the world and that didn't bothered me at all.

but not these days. Today's a race to get to lvl 70 or 80 because that's where the gratification is. Noone wants to be in between because you know there's no items and you know that you are only valuable as the items you wear, and, well, the fun is at the last level.

Which is why i'd welcome an expansion every year. I have to say i enjoyed northrend much more than outland. They were all, however, great experiences. Northrend however had a different ambiance, a bit colder which maybe is what attracted me in the first place. Howling Fjord was great.

I'd love to see another game match the quality of this one so i could revive those 1-59 moments. They were simply the best.

People complain these days that everything is so easy. Dungeons and raids are easy. Getting items are easy. It's true but i think that's a necessity, but at the same time is what causes the game to burn you quickly.

The old PVP was great. AV was awesome. Maybe this new isle of quest brings back those moments.

I will resub after the patch is out and have a bit of fun again. But then it will certainly fade out. But then a new patch is out and im back again

wtf this price thing is starting to gain its grounds.
these money mongers and their Zegna suits need to slapped in the face and forced to actually play a game because all they care is the mighty dollar.

If you spend 100m on a game and it fails it's your fucking problem. What's next, i have to pay $20 to see the next lord of the rings only because it's so expensive and good?

these speculators need to get some cancer and disappear from the face of the earth.

gamers around the world unite and have yer voice heard. And you greedy companies start playing by the rules instead of dictating the market.
