Take regular Xbox 360 gamepad.

Replace right thumbstick with small(ish) trackball.

Perfect.

Though I have a feeling Apple might have a patent or something on them so fuck-all.

"i think bethseda is capable of it" -- are you fucking SERIOUS?

Bethesda doesn't make IMMERSIVE games, they make trinkent hunts with plasticy characters, absolutely no motivation in terms of plot or story, and essentially a hollow fucking dollhouse to walk around in while all the wind-up toys herky-jerk about the place.

If *anything* I'd say Bethesda is the LEAST GODDAMN CAPABLE of making a game do any justice to it out of the current RPG studios that are out there. The team that made the original Deux Ex would have done a far better job IMO.

Matter of fact, I don't think it's possible for me to have any more enmity towards a gaming company than I do towards Bethesda. Fuck them and their shitty games.

Dual wielding pistols: IMO that'd just about break the game and make it almost pointless to use anything other than explosives, sniper rifles, and pistols. No way.

Crafting: -- meh. I'd rather be able to find some other small 'bits' to be able to put together as weapon mods, but crafting ... the thing I like about this game the most is that it sort of feels like an MMO/Diablo with it's loot and enemy presentation, but that you DON'T have to worry about things like crafting or carrying around pieces of junk because they 'might be useful later'.

Some randomization in the levels/interior areas would be fantastic.

"The consolization of the game is frustrating as hell on top of it. The save feature means every time I crash I wind up replaying 5-10 minutes worth of quests I already turned in. Menus are flat out bad."

Not if you're on a console, then you can play for 5 hours straight and not encounter a single bug, with an interface that works just fine, all while drinking beers in front of a giant plasma TV while lounging on a comfy couch. :-)

Yeah, actually, the more I hear about this the less I like it.

They already made a goofy zombie-kill game: it was called Dead Rising.

I liked how the first game was more on strategy and working together and not on gimmicky weapons and shit.

Ditch this bullshit.

A friend of mine did some research on this company...

----------
To keep things simple, I'm going to give my fact first, then the
backing evidence, and try to keep it all chronological. There are
still gaps here, but I believe this evidence is enough to show the
connections between UMGE.com, WoWMine, MMOinn, and Eric Lam.

Eric Lam may have been involved in online multiplayer game design from 2004.

"20 July 2004
Recruit reported the successful story of our four MSc graduates. Jason
Mok, Samuel Siu, Eric Lam and Patrick Chan, set up their own mobile
game design company "Mocha Multimedia Co. Ltd" in October last year,
just a month after their graduation. They are happy to see their
growing business and thanked MIC for equipping them with the knowledge
and skills in game design.
The article also introduced MIC's SME funded project "Mini-Scale
Multiplayer Online Game Development Platform" (MSMOG)."

Eric Lam owns or controls both UMGE (Universal Multiplayer Game
Entertainment) and Super Continental US(A) LLC.

http://docs.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/washington/wawdce/2:2009cv00815/160320/1/
"Defendant Eric Lam aka Eric Chuen Lam is an individual allegedly born
in Guangzhou, China in 1976, and believed to be a current resident of
Vancouver, BC or Guangzhou, China. Defendant Melanie Suen, aka ...Ma

Vancouver, BC. On information and belief, Suen is the mother of

On information and belief, the individual defendants Lam, Suen, and
Gordon Lam so dominate and control both Super Continental US and Super
Continental USA that they should all be treated as one and the same."
"Defendant UMGE is a Delaware limited liability company with a

Super Continental US LLC owns the site WowMine.

comment to wowgoldfacts.com in February 2009 in support of WowMine.

Eric Lam registered the site MMOinn.com.

Eric Lam has claimed to be the Escalation Manager for MMOinn in December 2006.

WoW customers. Basically, we’re offering the cheapest gold online.

UMGE has a connection to Guangzhou province, China.

http://www.evonypedia.com/umge
"Founded by a small group of avid Chinese game developers, UMGE is
based in Guangzhou, China and develops online multiplayer games."
http://download.cnet.com/windows/guangzhou-umge/3260-20_4-6299163.html
"Guangzhou UMGE

fast-growing US-based Group, founded by the former vice president of
Sina Mobile (NASDAQ: SINA), with over 300 staffs in US, UK, Hong Kong,
and China. We apply to develop and exploit universal multiplayer game
to fans."

Eric Lam, who might be the founder of UMGE, is not listed as a former
vice president of Sina Mobile. Neither are any of the other names
connected with UMGE, WowMine, or MMOinn.

UMGE uses the same domain registrar as MMOinn.

"Domain Name: umge.com

UMGE.net has a connection to UMGE.com. The registrant until December
2008 was Grace Xiaoyong Guo (who may not be otherwise connected). The
current owner, according to Microsoft, is Eric Lam.

Delaware address."

An anonymous accuser in October, 2008 claims on wowgoldfacts.com,
without providing sources or proof, that Eric Lam, Gordon Lam, and
Melanie Suen are family (the relationships disagree slightly with the
court documents) and are all involved with WowMine.

Sorry Valve, too late on this shit .. I'm not gonna sit here and wait for you to MAYBE release extra content for a game that already has a sequel with an announced release date.

While everything that you've said in terms of what you do is true: I found it to be fun.

Though I find it funny that you are complaining about the vehicle checking: it's a VIDEO GAME. I thought the mechanic added to being able to dodge and weave through traffic.

I didn't think the physics were horrible, and found the cars I was chasing to 'wreck/mess up' on several occasions. I liked the demo and plan on buying the full version.

Does this patch fix the bug where 'My Megaton House' will sometimes EAT YOUR FUCKING EQUIPMENT.

I was really enjoying this game until I lost all the stuff I'd been collecting ... the allure of wandering around just looking for trinkets to collect (because let's be honest -- do you really care about any of the quests other than that? I mean the writing is SO compelling...) I just went through and finished the main storyline.

And what an uninspiring, lackluster affair that was. I still don't understand why this game is getting 9/10 scores and above. It's barely a passable RPG, and a mediocre adventure/shooter game.

Totally agree with your GTA comments Timmy ... I felt that it was sort of a disservice to give GTA IV all these game of the year awards, without any real press 'love' for Saint's Row 2 -- which I found to be a better game in almost every facet.

The graphics might not have been technically as 'good' -- but I thought the use of the colors and different locations and designs made for a more fun, visually appealing landscape. Their color palatte consisted of more than grey and brown -- and the clothing and car upgrades (and variety of cars) just felt more fun than GTAs.

And, whether 'realistic' or not -- the map system in general absolutely blows the one in GTA out of the water. The option to filter things, to have the stores just appear as you pass them by, missions, much more solid. And the rerouting of the map was leagues faster than the GTA one as well.

Full single play story coop vs. couple of crappy little pre-fab missions. Nuff said.

Overall, in terms of a game, I just thought Saint's Row 2 crushed GTA 4 in terms of being a good game.

The last Most Wanted was great ... that remains one of my favorite 'racers' to date. Why they keep fucking around with things like Pro Street is beyond me.

Call it whatever the hell you want, but a game that had expanded on the formula there in Most Wanted would be something I'd be quite interested in as opposed to games about power slide/drifting around corners.

In the end, this game really felt like cross between a 'poor man's Oblivion' and the Gothic series -- in that it the feeling of total "who gives a shit" soullessness that Oblivion had, and the clunky ass controls of the first Gothic game.

There have been games set in 'aftermath' settings since Fallout: but it isn't just THAT which gave the game it's charm and brilliance.

"Updating the gameplay" to modern standards being one of those reasons to be concerned. (Modern standards = more b3wbs and lulz)

Because in reading the historical accounts of actual pirates (circa this era) there sometimes wouldn't be enough fresh water, and to avoid dieing of thirst you had to drink your own urine to the point of it being near BLACK.
