I also would have preferred the starter edition, but unfortunately they did not offer that version until several months after release. I tend to use the same operators most of the time anyway and don't have an urgent desire to unlock new ones.

Something to know about this title in particular is the levels of pay versus grind. The $15 version you mention comes at the price of it taking more in-game currency to unlock new things. The normal edition is a balance of grind and up-front pay. These season passes give you a premium currency where you are given the new content without having to grind at all.

RDR made a point of stating that it was set in the dying age of the old west. I can't see how they can make a sequel and still claim it as old west. GTA has very little character carry-over. Red Dead Redemption isn't a continuation of Red Dead Revolver. I think it's more likely this will be a new story line and probably set in a new location.

No, you login to Steam's Web API which then grants permission to GOG a list of your owned titles.

They dropped the ball in just not being smart about it. Sure a wooden staff needs to have degradation and eventually break, but a crowbar should be pretty safe in not having to do anything to it. You balance out the mechanic by having slower/less weapon control on the heavier/more durable weapons.

As for my weigh in on the situation as a whole. I don't mind the feature creep and expanded scope, but I do have a problem with the way it's been managed and have serious concerns that the money will run out before we even get something resembling the originally pitched game.

I was skeptical about them getting the persistent universe aspect working as pitched when I backed the game, but didn't really care because as long as I got my wing commander like Squadron 42 then the $60 I pledged would be well worth it.

For someone who spends most of his time correcting other people about the original Kickstarter you did get this part wrong. I'm a golden ticket holder and a day 1 backer. It was said from Day 1 that the Constellation (Rear Admiral Package) "...is a multi-person craft that includes a turret and a smaller fighter that can be manned by your friends!". I didn't buy that package myself, but my friend did so I recall very clearly that it was defined on day 1 as that's the whole reason he bought it.

It doesn't change the fact they need to fix your issue, but have you tried using a dedicated server hosted on the machine of whomever was hosting the listen server? Both of you will still be able to connect to the dedicated server. In fact it should even run better as you can put the dedicated server on a CPU core that isn't really being utilized by the client ArmA.

Seems to me like the game's story mode can only be played in four-player coop and that single player is reserved for randomly generated maps that serve only to "level up" your character. That's... weird. I don't think I can get 4 friends to play this.

I suspect it means there is a single player only campaign and a separate dynamic mission mode that can be played with 1 to 4 players.

The answer you are looking for is wireless motion controllers. I haven't heard anything from Oculus, but Valve will have official controllers to be used with their equipment.

I definitely use to feel this way about them until their botched Red Orchestra 2 release. I didn't even mind the bugged release, but their unfulfilled promise of a co-op campaign for RO2 has not been forgotten. It's not going to stop me from getting KF2 because I like the improvements I've seen over KF1, but any "planned features" they have will be looked at differently than before.

It's not like they spent a bunch of time developing for 12K. It's two separate features combined. Any racing sim worth it's salt is going to support triple monitors and it's not uncommon for upcoming games to support 4K resolution.
