This patch has broken the game in so many hilarious ways. Can't play with friends anymore as it separates us as soon as we start matchmaking. FPS has dropped by 15-20% across the board. Graphical glitches are everywhere - one friend has invisible guns when he plays, another friend has only half the map load and people in the other half can be seen and shot (through walls) by him. Hit registration has, amazingly, gotten even worse than it was. And online forums are full of comedy gold showing other bugs that my friends and I haven't directly experienced yet, such as invincibility or full invisibility in the final circles, dying to gas in the Gulag, winning the game in the gulag after everyone still in the map dies to gas, etc.

I have never seen such a horrible patch to an existing game in my 35+ years of gaming. It's so bad it's funny.

I bought it on PC. The matchmaking leaves a lot to be desired but the game is certainly not empty. It tends to match you with games that only have 1-2 other people in it, but I always abort that and try again. It rarely takes me more than 4-5 minutes to get a game going with 4 people in it.

That said the game isn't breaking any new ground. It's fun and I'll get my money's worth out of it, but L4D it ain't. There's nothing here we haven't seen before, but if you need your fix of shooting swarms of zombies in the face, it hits the spot.

Have to agree with you. Far Cry 1 was very impressive at release but it hasn't held up well. Crysis on the other hand absolutely blew people away and it was FUN. The multiplayer deathmatch gave me a feeling of competition that I felt had been missing since Quake died out. The game was a remarkable accomplishment and earned its place in the gaming hall of fame.

It's a damn shame they never matched that success again.

There have already been two pseudo-real time versions of Space Hulk for PC. One in the 90's and one just a couple years ago. You could pause them but they were definitely not turn based gameplay.

The game's definitely not for you then. It's very much a twitch gamepad game. I shudder to think of playing it with a mouse and keyboard.

Who is preserving which online games? I'm genuinely curious who's doing something with this exemption. I'm just itching for another round of Chromehounds.

Such an incredible game. I will always have fond memories of it because of the wonderful atmosphere. They really did create their own world.

I don't like laying traps or tower defense, will I like this game?

Probably not. A huge part of the game is harvesting resources to construct traps for base defense before the waves of bad guys start.

I played it for a while a few months back. It was fun for a couple dozen hours but then it just gets SUPER grindy to make any progress without spending money. And I found the AI to be annoying. You spend all this time laying out traps and the AI will just go around it or break a hole in the wall and avoid everything you laid out. Smart for the AI? Yeah. Fun for the player? Not so much.

I've played the first two campaign missions and there are no MOBA elements in that part at least. Or if there are, I don't know what a MOBA is. It plays like a RTS. Maybe the multiplayer is MOBA-like but I was never into DOW multi anyway.

Just saw there's already a patch released for the graphics settings issue. That was fast!

For a second I thought they made a ROM Spaceknight game. Now I'm sad.

Game looks cool though.

I played through SupCom2 once. Was it a bad game? No, but it was bland and far too limited in scope compared to its predecessors. I have never felt the urge to revisit it.

I still play Forged Alliance to this day. I have been through the campaign quite literally dozens of times. Creating crazy scenarios for myself in skirmish never gets old. It is a true classic.

I just had a "what year is it" moment, checked Steam, and indeed I purchased this game in April of 2015. Played the heck out of it last year (over 140 hours) and it was quite good back then. Wonder what's changed but so many good games coming out right now I doubt I'll fire it up again.

To anyone who hasn't played it and enjoys horde mode shooters, this one is top notch (caveat: unless something has gone horribly wrong in development since last year, but I doubt that).

If you live in Myanmar you have bigger problems to worry about than video games.

How does that in any way matter while discussing the issue at hand? These people have had something they paid for taken from them with no recourse.

That is a great question. I was a huge fan of NS1 and pre-ordered NS2. Pre-ordering anything is incredibly rare for me but I had faith in these guys.

And they built a solid sequel. The problem is it just didn't have anything really new and different in it from the first one. I played it for only a few days before that "been there done that" feeling was on me. I think it was just too similar to the first one to really grab people.

No one cares. It's a game for griefers by griefers which is why it always has been and always will be a niche game F2P or not.

So, lost everything you own to a gatecamp and ragequit?

I am really looking forward to retirement in 20 years or so because that's when I'll finally have time to properly play EVE.

Why do people feel the need to shit on this game before they play it? Seen that a lot around the net when this game is discussed and it baffles me. Unlike Debbie Downer over here I'm looking forward to this game. I don't need 5 billion unique permutations of anything to enjoy hopping from planet to planet.
