Thief 3 is now suspect number one. With DX trashed with XBOX limitations in mind, Theif 3 shows no signs of a different outcome. Pity.
Levels are TOO SMALL due to the fact of development for the XBOX. XBOX and it's very limited resources are holding back PC gaming more and more as time goes on.

Ok, after playing the demo, the level of polish is evident. Great atmoshphere and physics add to the run and gun frenzy that exists thoroughout the game.

The AI seems non-existant - this means that Painkiller seems to use 2 lines of code from the id school of complexity.
1- rotate towards player
2- make a beeline towards player, discharging weapons or melee attacks

You have a point about first person games, but for THIRD person games only the open exploration of homosexuality in all of its limber forms can explain the preference for choosing a bulging male character.

Gaming is, for the most part, a male endevour. Why on Baby Jesus' erection would you want to look at a guy's ass while playing instead of a shapely female one? Hopefully Havok will extend its physics code to include breasts and ass interaction as this would be a tremendous benefit to gameplay.

GT3 on the PC blew! The engine suckes molasses. Rockstar recoded Vice City for the PC and it SHOWS! Silky smooth gameplay in high-res! Now THAT's a PC game!
Too many crappy console-style games on the PC and crappy console conversions to lose any sleep over this. Keep the crap on the consoles, it is much better for PC gaming in the long run.
