Wasn't there a strange series of Blood rpg's on the c64 with the same titles,Captain Blood & Commander Blood?

By the time the game comes out all those XT cards will be discounted thanks to the x800 et al, be pretty fucking funny if instead of selling a few million copies they got shedloads of tokens instead.

Do IGN reporters not even have the time for a quick proof read? - On another note this game seems half-baked even in the press release and the sight of the phrase 'riot wall' trademarked sends cold shivers down my spine.

Two steps to success:

1. Use silent storm engine.

2. Add what was missing.

zoomed in detail was kind of rubish, and character customisation sucked.

How depressing, I would rather have had DX8.1 and co-op play personally.

the look of Besieger reminds me of the old castles games, used to love those. Hope it lives up to its promise.

I wasn't trolling, it was more a response to the fact that neither solution is practical or effective.

Interesting example mordor, you stop every ligitimate traveler from carrying useful things by implimenting a policy that is unlikely to trouble a dedicated terrorist who plans in advance.

Actually I'm in the position of loving the serious sam games and disliking painkiller - I don't think it looks that good, zombies especially seem a bit blocky. Like other people have mentioned the room lock ins kind of suck: gimme the crazy keyboard smashing megadeath of ss anyday over a game who's best feature is the spear gun.

Actually the beta version I played looked like the xbox version, not exactly pretty but ugly textures and everything looked really 'square'. Is this different in the new release ?

Thats what alot of people said about system shock 2 and the thief games, both looked a little dated for their time. Personally I will be happy with some interesting gameplay elements and decent execution, been folowing the game for a while and the no HUD idea is actually something I think will work in this context.

You looked at that Myst mmorpg ?

I'm not being funny but the first two games didn't look exactly great for the time, I would wait to judge the thief 3 demo on gameplay, because thats what made the first two such classics.
