No, I bought it from play.com, not that me saying I did over a week ago really proves anything.

*EDIT*

Although I can see how "bought it on budget in the UK" does sound a bit like a euphemism for piracy. Damn you Guy Richie, your crappy gangster movies have type cast us all as thieves

Hump - If I promise I don't speak with a mockney accent will you believe me?

Incidentally I picked this up on budget in the uk, repeated crashes with this (doom 3, hl2, dod source, fable tlc run stable) 0 tech support so far from eidos and its been over a week. I would recomend avoiding it.

Imagine if they were using ATI chips...

Pilot: Why can I only see half the screen?

AWACS: Check behind your seat, see if the crossfire cable fell out again.

Pilot: !

This is out in the UK and should be arriving today, I picked up the PC version for £17.99 ($32.50) inc p&p - It'll be interesting to see how much longevity this has.

Must .. Resist .. Special .. Sauce .. Joke ..

Seriously though, they keep talking about fuel cells but the only practical demonstrations I have seen involved units that were larger than the laptop itself. Sadly I expect it'll be years before it hits the market, just like those light emitting polymer printable TV's they were promising us in '98

Gamepads and similar control systems are perfectly capable of inflicting RPS type injuries all by themselves, infact if you consider that different games could use the controler in different ways; classic nes, n64,fine motor for shooters, wild waving for party games - it might actually reduce problems.

Personally I'm looking forwards to Dance Dance Revolution Raver Glowstix Mode - the ultimate weapon in the fight against child obesity!

Actually I am suprised no one has mentioned call of duty, I blew through that in less than 6 hours, much of which felt like it was spent reloading on that russian anti-tank rifle building defense level.

Total Overdose looks fun, especially considering how cheap it is, given that it seems to be out in the eu has anyone played it?

It was specifically "impermissibly run afoul of" I was refering to. Running afoul of legislation is impermissible by nature, it's like saying illegally breaking the law.

"the restrictions in this bill impermissibly run afoul of that protection"

I don't think thats lawyer speak just badly written, it's a tautology isn't it?

Ultimately the release is still bullshit, here is an idea - how about parents take some fucking responsibility and keep an eye on what their kid plays? However it would be nice to read the whole release rather than some random excerpts, after all there is no way a bunch of online journalists would quote something out of context just to whip up a storm right ? :-)

Duc - Rated R because my third party produced zipper allows me to take off my pants in public & expecting a call from Rays lawyers any second

Personally I really liked the FEAR demo, with this and Condemned Monolith seem to be really locked into delivering scary & atmospheric games at the moment. Given their back catalogue is pretty versetile (NOLF's, AVP2, Blood, Shogo...) I'd really like to see what they would do with the System Shock franchise.

Mind you maybe that's just me desperate for some sort of sequel, you'd think I would have learned better after the kick in the teeth that was thief 3.

It WAS the next ultima underworld, but they couldn't get the licence. You can switch to UW mode by casting the UW rune, it apparently blurs everything up really badly so it feels like your playing a game from 1991

Quick! Register a website and put up a paypal link - You could probably make a couple of grand in donations from the Blues News croud.

Mind you, rather than funding a mafia hit on Riley we could ask Blue to spend it on adding an ignore feature to the site, it'd be more flexible in the long run.

More than likely when Final Fantasy XI & a couple of other AAA highly anticipated titles require it it'll become a defacto standard by which point I wouldn't be suprised to see knock off versions pushing the price down.
